“MARVEL’S THE AVENGERS” WORLD PREMIERES TODAY

BURBANK, CA – May 3, 2012 --The official music video world premiere for Soundgarden’s new single “Live To Rise,” launched today. The song is from this year’s highly anticipated movie, “Marvel’s The Avengers,” in theaters nationwide on May 4, 2012.

“Live to Rise,” the original song written for and appearing in the film is the first single from the Marvel Music/Hollywood Records release Avengers Assemble.  The epic and cinematic video, featuring a searing live performance with film footage, was directed by Robert Hales (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Janet Jackson, Kings of Leon, Justin Timberlake).  



Soundgarden's “Live to Rise” was the #1 most added song in its first week at Alternative and Active Rock U.S. radio and is currently #3* at Mainstream Rock, #4* at Active Rock and #13* at Alternative (Modern Rock). Offered as a free download on iTunes for one week, the “Live To Rise” track exceeded 350K downloads.
