Snacking In The Parks: Beer Floats from Clarabelle's
It is always fun to find new food discoveries while visiting The Disneyland Resort. My friend and I stopped in to get ice cream from Clarabelle's but saw that they are making beer floats!
As you can see from the sign they are offering 3 types of alcoholic beverages to turn into floats! Henry's Orange Hard Soda, Coney Island Hard Root Beer or Guinness Extra Stout are your options!
We opted for the Henry's Orange Hard Soda and the Coney Island Hard Root Beer and both were delicious! We also loved that they use vanilla ice cream on a stick to place in the cups!
At $9.99 we will definitely be back for more!

Horchateria in Paramount Is A Horchata Lovers Dream Come True!
As a huge horchata fan, my friend Cesar brought me to Horchateria in Paramount, California!
They have a simple menu but you will still have a difficult time trying to figure out what you want to have! You can choose from horchata (either regular or vegan), you can get churros or turn them into a churro sundae complete with horchata ice cream! There is aquas fescas, coffee, horchata iced coffee, concha ice cream sandwiches, and even frappes!
It was such a hot day that I went with the horchata iced coffee! Look at this beauty! The smooth iced coffee combined with the creamy horchata is a perfect pairing! You are never going to look at flavored iced coffee the same way ever again! Even as I write this, I want an X-Large Horchata Iced Coffee right now!
But saving the best for last, the concha ice cream sandwich! The Mexican sweet bread is the perfect compliment to the horchata ice cream! The softness of the sweet bread and the fact that the sweet bread is not overly sweet is perfect for an ice cream sandwich. Cookies are too tough and donuts are just too sweet for an ice cream sandwich. This is the perfect marriage of sweet bread, ice cream and then combined with walnuts and drizzled with cajeta! You will wonder why no one has come up with this before!
Super friendly staff also makes you feel right at home! So bring a few friends and try a little bit of everything!

Seasalt Woodfire Grill Brings Santa Maria-Style BBQ to Huntington Beach
Santa Maria-Style BBQ is one of my all-time favorites and it's great to see it here in the OC. Seasalt Woodfire Grill brings this style of cooking to Huntington Beach. What sets this style of cooking apart is cooking meat seasoned with sea salt blends over red oak coals.
The bar has farm crafted cocktails, wines and a good selection of locally crafted beers. The first cocktail we tried was the The Grilled Pina which has tequila, pineapple and jalapeno. A great blend of flavors and I loved the kick of the jalapenos.
The second cocktail we tried was the The Boozy Horchata which has vanilla vodka, spiced rum and horchata. I am a huge horchata fan and this cocktail won me over with it's flavor and smoothness.
The Smoked Pork Belly Mac N Cheese is simply quite amazing. The smokiness of the pork belly goes perfectly with the mac n cheese.
When in doubt, you try all the various cuts of steak they bring out. The tri-tip, ribeye and the New York strip are all amazing and melt in your mouth delicious!
Take a look at the 28 oz bone-in ribeye. Doesn't it just make your mouth water?
Some of the most flavorful ribs I have ever experienced.
The linguisa is unreal. So much flavor and spice that will keep you coming back for more and more.
Even the seafood offerings are rubbed in the unique sea salts. The shrimp is perfectly grilled and salted.
The jumbo tiger prawns and snow crab is unbelievable. You won't want to share what's on your plate.
The last cocktail we tried was the Salty Hog which has vodka, grapefruit and bacon. A great blend of sour and salt. Typically not a flavor combination I typically would enjoy but this has changed my mine.
We ended the meal with this delicious vanilla ice cream with Central Coast Olive Oil and topped with black lava seasalt. The flavors blend together seamlessly for a totally unique experience. The perfect ending to our meal.
So, if you love Santa Maria style BBQ or just interested in experiencing it (and you will love it), then head to Seasalt Woodfire Grill. It will be an unforgettable meal from start to finish.

Puffle Cones and Ice Cream from Cauldron Ice Cream in Santa Ana
Take a look at this delicious Earl Grey Lavender liquid nitrogen ice cream served in an amazing Hong Kong-style bubble waffle cone called a puffle! You will feel compelled to take a photo of this thing of beauty before you eat it!
The puffle cone can best be described as a soft and warm fortune cookie! The Earl Grey Lavender is rich and creamy with an almost Green Tea type flavor. The honey is perfectly paired with the ice cream and the overall flavor is still not overly sweet!
You will spend quite a bit of time trying to decide which flavor you want! There are quite a few flavors to choose from! I'm a huge fan of Earl Grey tea so the Earl Grey Lavender was a no-brainer for me!
You could choose to just have the ice cream and not get it in the puffle cone of deliciousness! This is the Vietnamese Coffee ice cream in a cup!
But hey, the reason why you are here is for the liquid nitrogen ice cream in a puffle cone! So indulge and take a photo before you begin to eat and get lost in the amazing combination of ice cream and soft delicious puffle cone!

Elado Mexican Style Ice Cream - Home of the Creamy Churro - Horchata Ice Cream and Churro!
My friend and I went to go and try a new ice cream place in Anaheim! Welcome to Elado Mexican Style Ice Cream!
They offer a variety of ice cream flavors!
Lots of amazing creations with their ice cream to choose from!
They have smoothies and all the ice cream is made fresh weekly!
Lots of creations with their sorbet to choose from!
Milkshakes!
The Pina Colada mixes pineapple sorbet and coconut ice cream with pineapple and sweetened condensed milk. So creamy and better than any other ice cream place that tries to make the same item.
The Creamy Churro has horchata ice cream and warm churro pieces and chocolate syrup. This is made to order and may take a few minutes to make but it is so worth it! The warm churro pieces melt the creamy horchata ice cream into this wonderful Cinnamon toast Crunch type of flavor!

Sasaki Time's Top 15 Disneyland and DCA Food Items You Need to Eat Right Now!
Here are my Top 15 Disneyland and Disney California Adventure food items that you need to try if you haven't already!
15. The world famous clam chowder bowls come in at number 15! There is nothing better than the fresh baked sourdough bowls from the Boudin Bakery in DCA! The clam chowder is fantastic and that bread is even better if you let some of that chowder get absorbed into the bread! Remember to get some butter so you can also butter your bread if you aren't full!
14. Number 14 is the fantastic chili cone queso from the Cozy Cone Motel in Cars Land! I love chili and since it is one of Walt's favorites, it's fitting that chili make it on the list! The beef chili, cheese and corn chips in the bread cone is a perfect meal on the go! We will be returning to this same cone a few times!
13. Coming in at lucky number 13 is the Oswald Sundae in a souvenir "Mickey Pants" from Clarabelle's on Buena Vista Street. You get three scoops of ice cream covered in whipped cream, chocolate chips and a cherry on top! Oswald's ears are made up of two chocolate covered bananas! Plus, you get to keep the "Mickey Pants" sink dish!
12. Coming in at number 12 is what I consider the best deal in the parks when it comes to eating and those of you with a hearty appetite like myself. The Big Thunder Ranch BBQ is all you can eat for a great price! Lunch is only $23.99 a person and you get beans, chicken, ribs, cornbread, corn on the cob wheels and coleslaw!
11. Mickey shaped beignets are next! A powdered sugar covered bit of heaven if you ask me! They are coming out warm and go great with a mint julep or a cup of coffee! You will find these in New Orleans Square at the Mint Julep Bar!
10. The Mickey waffle from the Carnation Cafe comes in at Number 10! A delicious way to start the day! Pair it with a side of bacon or sausage and you have a wonderful breakfast right in the middle of Main Street U.S.A.!
9. We have come back to the Cozy Cone in Cars Land with the chorizo and egg cone! Only served for breakfast this delicious mix of chorizo, scrambled eggs and pico de gallo is a handy and hearty way to get your morning going down Route 66!
8. Dole Whip from Adventureland comes in at Number 8! This cool tasty pineapple treat is perfect on a hot day or any day! Look at that perfect swirl! Almost too perfect to eat, like I said almost!
7. Coming in next on the countdown is the butcher's plate from The Carthay Circle Lounge on Buena Vista Street. The plate features various cheeses, salamis, capicola, seasonal fruits and nuts. You also get some toasted bread. A perfect snack with some drinks and a good friend or two while listening to the light jazz in the lounge area. This is my favorite place to take a break from the park while still being inside the park.
6. Coming in at Number 6 is the best chicken in town! The broasted chicken at The Plaza Inn is one of my favorite meals in the entire resort! The chicken is tasty and moist, the mashed potatoes are thick and made from scratch and the seasonal vegetables are perfect! You can't even see the biscuit that comes with the meal! So much good food that you won't go hungry after this!
5. Number 5 is the lobster nachos at the Cove Bar in Paradise Pier! This massive plate begs to be shared! Corn tortilla chips, smothered in cheese, beans, lobster, salsa, mild peppers, and cilantro make for a perfect snack with a bunch of friends or a great meal for one! Enjoy with a beer or a cocktail and feel as if you were at the beach!
4. Number 4 we head back for the last time to the Cozy Cone in Cars Land for the bacon and mac and cheese cone! Thick mac and cheese with diced bacon on top make for a hearty meal!
3. Number 3 is the fried pickle appetizer at the Carnation Cafe on Main Street U.S.A.! These panko fried pickles are one of my favorites and I always get these when I dine here! How they can deep fry something and keep that pickle nice and crisp I will never know!
2. We don't have to go very far for Number 2 because it is the meatloaf at the Carnation Cafe! I love meatloaf and this one does not disappoint! A huge thick slab of moist meatloaf covered in gravy served with mashed potatoes, vegetables and a roll with butter makes me feel at home! Comfort food and it's very best!
Well there you have it! My Top 15 Food Items from both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure that You Need To Try Right Now! Hope it made you hungry! Let's go to the park and eat!

Amazing Ice Cream and Cupcakes from B. Candy in Corona Del Mar!
Time to check out B. Candy in Corona Del Mar! Not only do they carry candy but they make their own ice cream and cupcakes! And who doesn't like ice cream, cupcakes and candy?
Looks like Elsa enjoys ice cream from here!
So many choices! Such a great selection of candy!
It's also lots of eye candy! But we are here to try the freshly made ice cream and cupcakes!
Started with the chocolate covered potato chips and caramel ice cream. The ice cream is so rich and creamy and the flavors all work great together!
Then we moved to the Lucky Charms ice cream! Think of this as frozen cereal! That rich and creamy ice cream with Lucky Charms is another winner!
Cookie Monster ice cream! Look at those chunks of cookie crumbled into that fantastic house made ice cream! A new favorite for me!
Cinnamon Toast Crunch works perfectly like the Lucky Charms ice cream! Now I want Cap'n Crunch ice cream!
Pink Grapefruit Sorbet was surprisingly great! I'm not a fan of anything sour and this was a nice mix of sweet and sour! Nice and light and I would be happy to have this one again!
Blood Orange Sorbet is a sweet sorbet. The lightness of being a sorbet works really well here.
Just Vanilla is probably the richest and smoothest vanilla I have ever had!
Peppermint Stick is even better than the peppermint ice cream they have at Disneyland during the holidays. Bigger pieces of peppermint and a creamier ice cream make this the best peppermint stick ice cream!
Whoppers ice cream combines one of my favorite chocolate candies with ice cream! Another great ice cream to enjoy here!
Butter Pecan was so rich and creamy!
Coffee Toffee is perfection! Coffee is probably my favorite ice cream flavor and then combine it with rich toffee and it's all that i need to be happy!
Nutella Shortbread is giving that coffee toffee serious competition! Chunks of shortbread with that sweet nutella in a perfect mix!
After filling up on ice cream and sorbet, it was time to try the cupcakes!
Then it was time to try each of their cupcakes they had that day.
I will tell you that I completely failed by not taking a photo of the rolo cupcake on its own! But imagine a rolo on top of the cupcake and a melted cupcake inside the cupcake with chocolate frosting on top!
Birthday Cake cupcake with bubble gum! The moist cupcake and bubble gum took me back to a time when all I would eat was bubble gum ice cream! A great start to my cupcake journey!
Pink Velvet cupcake was up next! Now any velvet cake doesn't do much for me these days but this pink velvet was mixed with melted chocolate chips that took this to a different level! This was an easy cupcake to devour!
Oreo cupcake was perfect! Chunks of Oreo's with that moist cake and topped with cream, chocolate and an Oreo was fantastic!
Coconut Cream Pie cupcake is the cupcake of the week! They change out one of their cupcakes every week so you never know what you may find! The coconut cream pie is amazing and the graham cracker on top is the icing on the cake!
Cinnamon Toast Crunch cupcake is the best cupcake ever! The cinnamon toast crunch topping with the moist cupcake is heaven! Then the awesome cinnamon toast crunch crouton on top balances all the flavors together!
Fantastic service combines with a huge assortment of candy, amazing house made ice cream and cupcakes makes this a wonderful place to visit time and time again!
