Snacking In The Parks: Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats has Lemon Dole Whip!
The Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats in the upcoming Pixar Pier is now open for business! And yes, they have lemon dole whip! You can get it in two sizes and in a cup or on a cone! They also have chocolate and vanilla soft-serve if lemon doesn't float your boat!
There are also two specialty items and I have tried them both!
Take a look at the beautiful Pixar Pier Parfait in the above photo! This beauty combines the lemon soft serve (dole whip) with blue raspberry slush! The sour of the lemon soft-serve and the sweetness of the raspberry blends perfectly together!
Here is a look at the menu!
Here is the, It's Snow-Capped Lemon! The lemon soft serve is dipped in white chocolate! So good and refreshing!
Who is excited to try these new items?

Snacking In The Parks: Chocolate Covered Strawberries Dole Whip Hack
Take a look at this beauty! Chocolate covered strawberries with with a dole whip! No, this is not the latest Disneyland creation but one you can make yourself!
I started this simple hack by purchasing a strawberry and chocolate cup from Tropical Imports in Adventureland and then headed off to purchase a dole whip. I then took a seat over at the Jolly Holiday and took the stems off the strawberries and placed then to make it look as visually appealing as I could. Then I drizzled the chocolate from the chocolate cup all over the strawberries and dole whip! That's how simple that was! Dig in and enjoy! You're welcome!

Snacking In The Parks: Dole Whip with Rum
How can you make the famous dole whip even better? Why, by adding rum of course! Head over to the Coffee House at The Disneyland Hotel!
You can choose from either Myers Dark Rum or Parrot Bay Coconut Rum! I went with the spiced dark rum which paired perfectly with the dole whip! The rum is of course quite strong so I do recommend mixing the two together!
I will be back to try the dole whip with the coconut rum! Another refreshing treat at The Disneyland Resort!

Dole Whip with Li Hing Mui from Hula Girls Shave Ice
After hacking the dole whip at Disneyland with tajin, it was time to try another addition to the dole whip. This time I went to Hula Girls Shave Ice where they not only have dole whip but they have several options of seasonings to add on top of your dole whip. It was time to add the li hing mui powder to the dole whip.
What is li hing mui you may ask? Well li hing mui is a sweet and sour powder that transforms pretty much anything into an exotic, candied treat. You take pickled plum skins in licorice, salt and sugar and grind them into a very fine powder. A few dashes go a very long way.
How does the dole whip with li hing mui taste? The li hing mui actually neutralizes the acidity of the pineapple in the dole whip and you are left with a sweet and slightly sour dole whip that tastes even more amazing than just the dole whip itself!
Try this amazing combination yourself at Hula Girls Shave Ice:

Snacking In The Parks: Disneyland Food Hack - Dole Whip/Dole Whip Float with TajÃn
Take a look at this awesome Disneyland dole whip hack! Don't worry about smuggling your own tajÃn into the park! TajÃn is a combination of ground chili peppers, salt and dehydrated lime juice! It blends perfectly with the sweetness of the pineapple by adding some spice and salt!
Just head over to Tropical Imports next to the Jungle Cruise and pick up a packet of tajÃn! It's free!
Then head over to get your dole whip or your dole whip float!
Rip open the packet and pour generously over your dole whip or your dole whip float! And yes it is as awesome as you would think it would be! My favorite is with the dole whip float! Make sure you bring an extra packet for the dole whip float! After you are done eating some of the dole whip, stir the rest of it into the pineapple juice with some extra tajÃn!

Sasaki Time's Top 15 Disneyland and DCA Food Items You Need to Eat Right Now!
Here are my Top 15 Disneyland and Disney California Adventure food items that you need to try if you haven't already!
15. The world famous clam chowder bowls come in at number 15! There is nothing better than the fresh baked sourdough bowls from the Boudin Bakery in DCA! The clam chowder is fantastic and that bread is even better if you let some of that chowder get absorbed into the bread! Remember to get some butter so you can also butter your bread if you aren't full!
14. Number 14 is the fantastic chili cone queso from the Cozy Cone Motel in Cars Land! I love chili and since it is one of Walt's favorites, it's fitting that chili make it on the list! The beef chili, cheese and corn chips in the bread cone is a perfect meal on the go! We will be returning to this same cone a few times!
13. Coming in at lucky number 13 is the Oswald Sundae in a souvenir "Mickey Pants" from Clarabelle's on Buena Vista Street. You get three scoops of ice cream covered in whipped cream, chocolate chips and a cherry on top! Oswald's ears are made up of two chocolate covered bananas! Plus, you get to keep the "Mickey Pants" sink dish!
12. Coming in at number 12 is what I consider the best deal in the parks when it comes to eating and those of you with a hearty appetite like myself. The Big Thunder Ranch BBQ is all you can eat for a great price! Lunch is only $23.99 a person and you get beans, chicken, ribs, cornbread, corn on the cob wheels and coleslaw!
11. Mickey shaped beignets are next! A powdered sugar covered bit of heaven if you ask me! They are coming out warm and go great with a mint julep or a cup of coffee! You will find these in New Orleans Square at the Mint Julep Bar!
10. The Mickey waffle from the Carnation Cafe comes in at Number 10! A delicious way to start the day! Pair it with a side of bacon or sausage and you have a wonderful breakfast right in the middle of Main Street U.S.A.!
9. We have come back to the Cozy Cone in Cars Land with the chorizo and egg cone! Only served for breakfast this delicious mix of chorizo, scrambled eggs and pico de gallo is a handy and hearty way to get your morning going down Route 66!
8. Dole Whip from Adventureland comes in at Number 8! This cool tasty pineapple treat is perfect on a hot day or any day! Look at that perfect swirl! Almost too perfect to eat, like I said almost!
7. Coming in next on the countdown is the butcher's plate from The Carthay Circle Lounge on Buena Vista Street. The plate features various cheeses, salamis, capicola, seasonal fruits and nuts. You also get some toasted bread. A perfect snack with some drinks and a good friend or two while listening to the light jazz in the lounge area. This is my favorite place to take a break from the park while still being inside the park.
6. Coming in at Number 6 is the best chicken in town! The broasted chicken at The Plaza Inn is one of my favorite meals in the entire resort! The chicken is tasty and moist, the mashed potatoes are thick and made from scratch and the seasonal vegetables are perfect! You can't even see the biscuit that comes with the meal! So much good food that you won't go hungry after this!
5. Number 5 is the lobster nachos at the Cove Bar in Paradise Pier! This massive plate begs to be shared! Corn tortilla chips, smothered in cheese, beans, lobster, salsa, mild peppers, and cilantro make for a perfect snack with a bunch of friends or a great meal for one! Enjoy with a beer or a cocktail and feel as if you were at the beach!
4. Number 4 we head back for the last time to the Cozy Cone in Cars Land for the bacon and mac and cheese cone! Thick mac and cheese with diced bacon on top make for a hearty meal!
3. Number 3 is the fried pickle appetizer at the Carnation Cafe on Main Street U.S.A.! These panko fried pickles are one of my favorites and I always get these when I dine here! How they can deep fry something and keep that pickle nice and crisp I will never know!
2. We don't have to go very far for Number 2 because it is the meatloaf at the Carnation Cafe! I love meatloaf and this one does not disappoint! A huge thick slab of moist meatloaf covered in gravy served with mashed potatoes, vegetables and a roll with butter makes me feel at home! Comfort food and it's very best!
Well there you have it! My Top 15 Food Items from both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure that You Need To Try Right Now! Hope it made you hungry! Let's go to the park and eat!

Restaurant Review: Hula Girls Shave Ice - Ice Cream, Dole Whip & More!
Time for another restaurant review! This time I went next door from Dough Dough's Hawaiian Cafe to Hula Girls Shave Ice!
This is shave ice like you would get on the islands. Not that snow cone stuff but actual shave ice. Soft ice with delicious fruit flavors. You can choose from several pre-set options or create your own. You also have a lot of options like adding a snow-cap (condensed milk) which I always do. You can also add ice cream or even dole whip! Dole whip you say? Yes, just like at Disneyland but without the massive long line!
The shave ice creation above has both a snow-cap and dole whip! Heaven must taste like this!
Here is a regular shave ice with a snow-cap! The regular size shave ice is large enough to satisfy pretty much anyone. I can't imagine how big the large is!
Here is a look at their dole whip! Just as good if not better than Disneyland without the long wait!
The entire dole whip in all of it's glory!
Hula girls Shave Ice is located next door to Dough Dough's Hawaiian Cafe and is actually connected on the inside. So have breakfast, lunch of dinner and then get dessert!

House of Dole Whip
Finally made it out to the House of Dole Whip in West Hollywood! I couldn't think of a better place after watching a Disney movie at The El Capitan Theatre than to go and get some amazing dole whip!
What is dole whip you say? Never fear, I will explain it briefly! It's simply just a soft serve frozen dessert that is mostly known at Disneyland and Walt Disney World! It's taste and consistency is similar to soft serve ice cream but it's texture is from ordinary food thickeners.
The store is quaint and they like to serve you the dole whip! You can even get a dole whip float just like at Disneyland!
How does this one compare to the traditional pineapple dole whip found in Adventureland? I personally think this one is better than the Disneyland version!
It tastes richer and creamier than the Disneyland version! Plus, you can get it other flavors as well! For instance, orange!
You can even get it in strawberry!
I hope you true Disneyland Park fans make the trip out here to try these dole whips for yourself!
