Sasaki Time's Dapper Tour of Walt Disney's Disneyland! The Jungle Cruise!

Our Dapper Tour of Walt Disney's Disneyland continues in Adventureland! This time we will focus on the Jungle Cruise, still here and still popular since Opening Day! On the months leading up to Opening Day, Walt featured the Jungle Cruise on many episodes of his television show, making this attraction one of the most eagerly anticipated.

The beautiful entrance to the world famous Jungle Cruise.

The upper boathouse queue was not originally here and is a more recent addition to the attraction but the view from here makes it look like Adventureland is vast and goes on deep into the horizon.

A boat of tourists returning from their epic trek into the wild unknown. It doesn't look like everyone returned!

I believe I have found my new fishing spot! I hope there are no piranhas!

Having boarded our boat, we wave goodbye to those on the dock and we are off into the jungle! We say goodbye to civilization and hope for a safe journey.

Our first major sighting is a very large and hungry tiger with some alligator friends all in a ruined ancient city. Hopefully we will discover more on our journey!

One of the most feared creatures in all the jungle! Insert elephant or mother-in-law joke here! Our skipper's words, not mine!

We are mesmerized by the beauty of the jungle! But where there is beauty there is also danger!

We are approaching one of the most rare sights in all the jungle! The backside of water!

More tourists on their way! Hope they have as safe a journey as we did!

We are approaching the return to civilization! Here is the friendly native Trader Sam! I hear he has a special today! Two of his heads for one of yours!

Kristen and I have returned safely to civilization! We hope you enjoyed the second of our series of Sasaki Time's Dapper Tour of Walt Disney's Disneyland with a look at the Jungle Cruise!

Look for more in the series as we take closer looks at some of the attractions here when Walt was here!

Haunted Mansion Holiday (2014) in Black and White Photos

Take a black and white photo tour of Disneyland's Haunted Mansion Holiday. This is the 13th year of the transformation into Jack Skellington's vision of the holiday...
The stately mansion looks so festive this time of the year...
The scarecrow uh scare pumpkin man looks like he is ready to jump off his stand...
We are now in the hallway as we make our way towards the doombuggies...
You may have noticed that the paintings are changing. Your mind is not playing tricks on you...
Someone is always watching you...
The loading area looks so festive this time of year...
Zero get the present that he has wanted most...
Beware the man-eating plant...
Madame Leota will tell you tale of the thirteen days of Christmas...
The ballroom is looking very festive as well...
The yearly gingerbread creation is made of actual gingerbread...
In the attic, not only will you find tons of presents, but also the list of who has been naughty or nice according to our dear old Sandy Claws...
Out of the attic and down towards the graveyard...
Jack and Zero are both here to greet us...
The singing jack-o-lanterns are one of my personal favorites...
Hark, the scary angels sing...
Oogie is here...
We receive two ginger skeleton men...
Hurry back, hurry back....

It's always fun to see what happens when two holidays collide...

Grizzly Peak Recreational Area Black and White Photos plus a few Long Exposure Photos

Time for some black and white photos around the Grizzly Peak Recreational Area! I also took a few long exposure photos of Frog Jump Falls.

I love the pelton wheel here next to Eureka Gold and Timber Company building. The building was the old stamp mill when it was still a working gold mining company. The ore would come down what is now the lift and then the ore would be crushed.
Taking a look at the lift at Grizzly River Run.
A lonely evening near one of the old mine shafts along Red Top Road. Some great details in this location include the mine shaft itself which is now raft storage and of course the ore carts in front.
I love this old Toyota truck. I wonder if it still runs?
My first time at trying a long exposure shot. I think I did pretty well for my first time! This is the upper falls!
Here is the bottom part of the falls!
The fog appears to be creeping in tonight. Not a place that I want to get lost at!

Hope you enjoyed this quick look at the Grizzly Peak Recreational Area! Please let me know if there are any photos or video of anything happeneing in Disneyland or Disney California Advneture that you are interested in seeing!

Black and White Photos from Disney California Adventure at Night!

I spent the other night in Disney California Adventure taking a few black and white photos to see what they would look like. I was pleased with the results and will eventually go into Disneyland to do the same thing.
This looks like I am out in the sand.
Love the reflection of Ariel's Grotto here in Paradise Bay.
Jumpin' Jellyfish looks kind of creepy here.
The Golden Zephyr looks classic here.
Love the vibe here as folks are getting ready for World of Color.
The mountain range in Cars Land seems to take on a personality all it's own here in black and white.
The rock work looks fantastic in black and white.

It really feels like you are out in the desert.
Red looks happy in black and white.
The vintage look really comes through in black and white.
I love the Flo's V8 Cafe sign!
Flo's really shines here. It feels like we have stepped back in time.
The 1950's are alive and well!
Sadly there are no vacancies at the Cozy Cone Motel.
This just feels right.
Time to fuel up with DinoCo!
The Hotel looks creepier in black and white.
We end the photo tour with The Hyperion Theatre. There will be more black and white photos to come!
