Craft Time: Pluto Cutie Easter Egg

Pluto Cutie Easter Egg Template PDF
Time: 1 Hour

What You’ll Need

  • Hardboiled brown egg (or wooden egg painted golden brown)
  • Ruler
  • Scissors
  • Cardstock (beige or golden brown, white, and black)
  • Stapler
  • Pencil
  • Black permanent marker
  • Glue dots
  • Scrap of green craft paper

How To Make It

  1. Roll an 8.5- by 2-inch piece of beige or golden brown cardstock into a tube, making the diameter just wide enough for the narrower end of the egg to nestle in. Staple the tube where the paper overlaps. Pencil simple lines on the front of the tube to depict Pluto’s chest, legs, and paws and then trace over the lines with black marker.
  2. Pencil a wide V-shape line on the upper egg. Trace over the line with marker. Set the egg atop the tube.Print the template on white cardstock and cut out the pieces. Use the muzzle piece to cut out the same shape from beige or golden brown cardstock. Glue the nose onto the muzzle and then draw on a mouth. Glue the muzzle to the bottom of the eye piece.
  3. Glue the eye portion of the assembled face to the front of the egg, but leave the muzzle free to overlap the outer tube slightly.
  4. Use the ear template piece to cut out a pair of Pluto ears from black cardstock. Fold the ear tabs, as shown, and glue them to the sides of the egg.
  5. Finally, glue a thin strip of green craft paper around the tube for Pluto’s collar.

Notes

Cutting should be done by an adult.

Disneyland Resort Photo Trip Report - Pacific Wharf, Flowers, Toontown and More (May 11th, 2014)

Time for a weekly look at photos from Disney California Adventure and Disneyland!

One of my favorite shows is Five and Dime and Goofy comes out to join the fun!

The Pacific Wharf is just about finished with a beautiful paint job. When the park first opened this area was themed to an abandoned fisherman's wharf area and now it is looking like a brand new vibrant wharf area.
I love the year that the Pacific Wharf Canning Company was founded. Anyone know what the significance of this year is? Leave your answer in the comment section below.

The wildflowers add to the effect of taking you out of a theme park and feel like the foothills in the Sierra's.
This looks like a nice place to "drop in" for the afternoon.
Lovely roses at The Carthay Circle.
Stopping in at Clarabelle's to get an Oswald Sundae served in the souvenir Mickey's Kitchen Sink!
Heading to my favorite photo location, Sleeping Beauty Castle!
The majestic peak of the Matterhorn!
Ready to take off in the Starspeeder 1000.
Man this pilot droid looks defective! Hopefully he never gets to fly a Starspeeder!
Space Mountain in constant launch mode!
Just another lovely day to be in the park!
Toontown and the sky and clouds made it look even more cartoony than usual!
One of the best attractions around!
The Fire Department!
Even the sky looks painted!
City Hall has never looked brighter!
My buddy Pluto waves hi!
Picture perfect rose in Toontown!
A quiet place in Toontown near the Jolly Trolley!
This looks like the end! Hope you enjoyed the look at the parks! If there are any photos or news that you would like to see or have me report on please leave comments in the comment section below!

Take a look at the Disney Character Statues around The Partners Statue at Disneyland

Taking some photos of each of the statues around The Partners Statue in the hub of Disneyland.

Pinocchio and Jiminy look perfect with The Matterhorn behind them.
Dumbo and Timothy look like they want to fly into Tomorrowland.
Minnie has dreams of the being a princess one day, especially with Sleeping Beauty Castle in the background.
Donald Duck looks like he has an egg or a white sphere in his hand like he is ready to perform magic in front of the castle.
Chip and Dale came down from their tree to greet the folks.
The White Rabbit is late as he heads out of Frontierland for a very important date.
Goofy looks as if he is lost or thinking deep thoughts.
Pluto looks as happy as ever and a perfect way to end this photo tour of the statues around The Partners Statue in Disneyland.

Hope you enjoyed the photos! If there is anything you want to see I am happy to head to the park to take those photos for you and to share stories and the history.
