Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales - Pirate's Death TV Spot

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales is in theaters May 26, 2017 in 3D, RealD 3D and IMAX 3D!

Johnny Depp returns to the big screen as the iconic, swashbuckling anti-hero Jack Sparrow in the all-new “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.” The rip-roaring adventure finds down-on-his-luck Captain Jack feeling the winds of ill-fortune blowing strongly his way when deadly ghost sailors, led by the terrifying Captain Salazar (Javier Bardem), escape from the Devil's Triangle bent on killing every pirate at sea—notably Jack. Jack's only hope of survival lies in the legendary Trident of Poseidon, but to find it he must forge an uneasy alliance with Carina Smyth (Kaya Scodelario), a brilliant and beautiful astronomer, and Henry (Brenton Thwaites), a headstrong young sailor in the Royal Navy. At the helm of the Dying Gull, his pitifully small and shabby ship, Captain Jack seeks not only to reverse his recent spate of ill fortune, but to save his very life from the most formidable and malicious foe he has ever faced.

“Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” also stars Kevin R. McNally as Joshamee Gibbs, Golshifteh Farahani as the sea-witch Shansa, Stephen Graham as Scrum, David Wenham as Scarfield and Geoffrey Rush as Captain Hector Barbossa.

Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg are directing “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” with Jerry Bruckheimer producing. The executive producers are Mike Stenson, Chad Oman, Joe Caracciolo, Jr. and Brigham Taylor. Jeff Nathanson wrote the screenplay. “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” drops anchor in U.S. theaters on May 26, 2017.

Vehicle Review: Genesis G90 AWD 3.3T Premium

I have been really impressed with the Genesis line ever since I first drove one at a Hyundai Media Event in 2014. Since then, Hyundai has spun off the Genesis into its own brand much as Lexus is to Toyota, Acura is to Honda and Infiniti is to Nissan. The Genesis G90 is my favorite so far and once take a look at the "fluidic design" and then sit behind the wheel, you too will fall in love.

The gorgeous look of the Genesis G90 was created to take on the likes of other full-size luxury sedans such as the Lexus LS, the Mercedes S-Class, and the BMW 7- Series. The large grill announces the G90s arrival. The LED daytime running lights give the vehicle a cat-like look.

The large winged Genesis emblem looks great even with a little early morning rain.

The large 19-inch alloy wheels look like they were inspired by jet engine fans.

From the rear, the G90 looks like a Mercedes. I love the large rear tail lights as they accentuate the back of the vehicle. The angled tailpipes also add to the stylish look of the G90. The stylish exterior is both sophisticated and elegant.

The interior matches the exterior. The front seats are large and comfortable. The 22-way power seats also come with ventilation and heat for both the driver and the passenger.

The steering wheel is buttery soft in the hands and comes with power adjustment for tilt and telescoping. Crystal clear displays are supplemented with a HUD (heads-up display). The center console includes wireless charging for your smartphone which I absolutely loved.

The navigation system has a huge 12.3 HD widescreen. A Lexicon 7.1-channel surround sound system with 17 speakers comes standard. The sound is unbelievable in an already super quiet cabin.

Here is a 360 degree look at the interior of the G90. You can see how luxurious and spacious the interior truly is.

The rear seats offer an amazing amount of comfort. You will find a seemingly endless amount of leg room.

The rear center armrest has climate and audio controls.

The Genesis G90 also comes with the latest safety features including lane assist, adaptive cruise control, high beam assist and more.

One of my favorite safety features is this overhead view of your vehicle as you park. There is no excuse for not parking perfectly in the space every single time.

Driving the G90, is a dream come true. The 3.3-Liter twin-turbo V6 engine has 365 hp is powerful and made it a pure joy to cruise the freeways in Orange County.  You also get a combined 20 mpg with 17 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway.

The Genesis G90 AWD 3.3T Premium starts at $68,100 ($71,550 as tested). You also get a 3 year/36,000 mile Complimentary Scheduled Maintenance, Valet Services, Genesis Connected Services, SiriusXM Travel Link and Map Care.

"Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2" Opens March 9, 2018!

Jane Lynch and Jack McBrayer to Join John C. Reilly and Sarah Silverman as Ralph Takes on the Internet

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (March 28, 2017) – Wreck-It Ralph is escaping out of his arcade and into the expansive universe of the internet next year when “Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2” hits the big screen. Dave Hollis, head of distribution for The Walt Disney Studios, revealed the much-anticipated sequel’s title and told CinemaCon attendees that Jane Lynch and Jack McBrayer would be returning to the roster.

Also returning are the team behind the original “Wreck-It Ralph,” who won an Oscar® last month for Walt Disney Animation Studios’ billion-dollar-box-office-blockbuster “Zootopia.” Directors Rich Moore (“Zootopia,” “Wreck-It Ralph,” “The Simpsons”) and Phil Johnston (writer, “Wreck-It Ralph,” “Zootopia,” “Cedar Rapids”), and producer Clark Spencer (“Zootopia,” “Wreck-It Ralph,” “Bolt”) are hard at work on the movie. “To take these characters we love and have them enter the enormous world of the internet has given us so much to explore,” said Moore. “Our production team has been hard at work designing a world that takes something we all think we know – the internet – but shows it in a whole new, imaginative way.”

Added Johnston, “We’re so excited to be working with Ralph, Vanellope von Schweetz, Fix-It Felix and Sergeant Calhoun again, and we have new characters we look forward to unveiling. At the center of this film, as in the first one, is the relationship between Ralph and Vanellope, two once-outcasts, who in each other, found true friendship.”

When “Wreck-It Ralph” opened on Nov. 2, 2012, it turned in the highest opening weekend ever for a Walt Disney Animation Studios film at the time of release. Nominated for an Oscar® and Golden Globe® for best animated feature, “Wreck-It Ralph” won the PGA Award for outstanding producer of an animated theatrical motion picture as well as five Annie Awards, including best animated feature, director, cast and screenplay. The film was named best animated feature by the Broadcast Film Critics Association, earned outstanding achievement in casting for an animated feature by the Casting Society of America, and won the Kids’ Choice Award for favorite animated movie.

“Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2” hits U.S. theaters on March 9, 2018.

ABOUT THE MOVIE
Blindsided by a new generation of blazing-fast racers, the legendary Lightning McQueen (voice of Owen Wilson) is suddenly pushed out of the sport he loves. To get back in the game, he will need the help of an eager young race technician, Cruz Ramirez (voice of Cristela Alonzo), with her own plan to win, plus inspiration from the late Fabulous Hudson Hornet and a few unexpected turns. Proving that #95 isn’t through yet will test the heart of a champion on Piston Cup Racing’s biggest stage! Directed by Brian Fee (storyboard artist “Cars,” “Cars 2“), produced by Kevin Reher (“A Bug’s Life,” “La Luna” short) and co-produced by Andrea Warren (“LAVA” short), “Cars 3” cruises into theaters on June 16, 2017.

Vehicle Review: 2017 Kia Soul Turbo Exclaim

It is time for another vehicle review in 2017! This time it is for the 2017 Kia Soul Turbo Exclaim! I haven't reviewed a Kia soul in a few years but the Soul Turbo is every bit of fun as the previous models but with a turbocharged engine! Let's hit the road and see how she handles!

The gorgeous Wild Orange color really stands out as you cruise around town! And the awesome color combines with the modest visual changes made to the headlights and bumpers make this the perfect vehicle to take down to Newport Beach for dinner! The beautiful Lighthouse Bayview Cafe is the destination and they did not disappoint! Take a look at the view in the above picture! Not a bad way to spend the evening!

After an amazing meal, you must get the beignets! They are amazingly light and delicious! Thanks to the fine team at the Lighthouse Bayview Cafe for their gracious service and wonderful hospitality!

Getting back in the 2017 Kia Soul Turbo Exclaim, you will be surprised by the amount of room inside the vehicle! Take a 360 look inside the vehicle with me! Lots of leg room for you and your friends and that panoramic sunroof is a must here in Southern California!

Taking a closer look at the cockpit and you will see that the displays are nicely laid out. Everything is easily within reach.

The large 8-inch navigation system display is both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatible. You will also love the eight speaker, 315-watt Harman Kardon audio system. The audio is loud and clear and perfect when you have the panoramic sunroof open and the windows down while cruising down Pacific Coast Highway. Plus, the mood lighting grill with sound interaction looks really cool at night.

The large 18 inch alloy wheels are stunning and just add to the visual appeal of the vehicle. But let's talk about the turbo! The 1.6L Turbo engine brings 201 horsepower with it and it really zippy and makes this a really fun vehicle to drive! You get 26 MPG in the city, 31 MPG on the highway and 28 MPG combined.

The next drive is to brunch to join friends at Saddle Ranch Chop House in Orange. Awesome service, great food and of course these awesome cotton candy treats!

Then it was off to Hollywood for the Los Angeles premiere of Kong: Skull Island! My first time at the Dolby Theatre, the home of The Oscars! We had amazing seats provided by the amazing folks at Dolby! Kong" Skull Island was amazing and a great summer type blockbuster movie though it's only March!

We tried to see if we could fit Kong in the back of the Kia Soul but it just wasn't going to work. But you can see you get enough room for a trip or grocery shopping plus the seats drop down if you need more room.

The 2017 Kia Soul Turbo Exclaim is an attractive, practical and fun to drive vehicle with value in mind and a lot of pep in its step!

The Kia soul starts out at $15,990 for the base model but the top of the line Turbo Exclaim starts at $22,650. But with the added Tech Package that gives you all the tech imaginable plus HID headlights and LED foglights. The addition of the panoramic sunroof brings the total to a reasonable $27, 620.

Beauty and The Beast (2017) Movie Review: The Tale As Old As Time Is New Again

In 2014, I first heard that my favorite Disney animated film of all-time was going to become a live-action movie, I shuddered at the very thought. Beauty and The Beast was the first Disney animated film that broke away from the mold of the typical Disney princess. Belle was a strong female character. She was smart, she was pretty and she knew what she wanted in life. And she could see past the exterior of a person and see what's in their heart. Unforgettable songs, gorgeous animation and a fantastic story combined to make this, not only my favorite Disney animated film, but the favorite of millions. There would be little forgiveness if the live-action film was not handled with care.

Then in 2015, casting began to be announced. In January, Emma Watson announced that she would play Belle and I instantly fell in love with this project. And then later that year at the D23 Expo, the rest of the cast was announced and the first footage was screened. I, along with 8,000 others were floored by what we saw, the first glimpse of Emma Watson in the iconic gold ballroom gown as well as Gaston and LeFou in town. You got a sense of scale and that this was going to be something special. The filmmakers were handling this with very special care.

The film truly delivers as you get what you love from the animated classic but with new elements that fit perfectly in the existing framework that help expand the characters within their world. By no means is the storyline vastly different, you know what you are going to get. The Beast is cursed because of his cruel ways. Belle is a book-loving girl that wants so much more than what her small village can provide. You get Belle imprisoned in the castle, an unexpected friendship turns into something more and then an epic love story blossoms.

The casting is superb from top to bottom. Emma Watson is perfect as Belle, from her intelligence, to her beauty to her love of books. Emma is in fact the real life Belle. Dan Stevens brings the upset and soulful Beast to life. The enchanted objects of Lumiere, Cogsworth and Mrs. Potts are expertly brought to life through the fine vocal performances of Ewan McGregor, Sir Ian McKellan and Emma Thompson. The additional enchanted objects are also magically brought to life by wonderful vocal performances by Madame de Garderobe (Audra McDonald), Chip (Nathan Mack), Plumette (Gugu Mbatha-Raw) and the newly-created Maestro Cadenza (Stanley Tucci), a composer transformed into a harpsichord.

Luke Evans and Josh Gad play Gaston and Lefou and literally steal the show many times here. Josh Gad shows off his musical strength here and Luke Evans plays Gaston to his dastardly best. You can tell the two formed a close friendship during production and it shows in every scene they are in.

Kevin Kline is unbelievably charming as Belle's father Maurice. his character gets a little more attention as we find out more about him and about Belle's mother.  Those scenes are sweet and at times heartbreaking. We also get further insight into the Beast's parents. These scenes help us learn more about Belle and Beast and how they have been shaped into who they are. This helps ground the characters into a greater sense of believability that even the animated classic could not accomplish.

As far as the music is concerned, we get the songs we all know and love with some lyric changes as well as three brand new songs. The new songs blend in seamlessly with the other songs and help create this classic Hollywood musical film feel. Emma Watson can hold her own and all the iconic songs with Belle have been playing on repeat for the last several days. Stevens has a wonderful signing voice and you can feel his power as he sings "Evermore." Thompson is wonderful in the title song. Ewan McGregor reminds me of his Moulin Rouge days as he sing the audience pleasing "Be Our Guest."  But Evans and Gad brought the house down with their performance of "Gaston."

A gorgeous film, filled with an amazing cast, and additional changes to the storyline that work flawlessly into the existing framework to create a movie that expands the characters and their world will be one that you will want to see again and again.
