Craft Time: Elsa Papercraft

Elsa Papercraft PDF File

Time: 20 Minutes

What You’ll Need

  • Regular paper or cardstock
  • Scissors or craft knife
  • Glue or double-sided tape

How To Make It

  1. Print the template on regular paper or cardstock. Cut out each piece with a craft knife or scissors.
  2. Do not cut along the dashed lines — this is where you will fold the paper.
  3. Line up Elsa’s back with her torso and glue them together so the design is two-sided. After the glue has dried, fold the bottom part of Elsa’s torso towards you along the blue dashed line. Then, fold Elsa’s face away from you along the gold line across her shoulders.
  4. Take Elsa’s chest piece and fold along each dashed line. Make each fold away from you. Glue the G tab and F tab to the back, white side of Elsa’s chest.
  5. Spread glue on the H tab of Elsa’s chest and press it into place on the H area on Elsa’s torso. Make sure her shoulders are lined up correctly.
  6. After the glue dries, add glue to the I, J, K, and L tabs and press them into place. Hold the pieces together until the glue dries. You may need to use a pen or pencil inside her chest area to position the tabs just right.
  7. Fold each of Elsa’s arms and glue them so the design is two-sided. Make sure they are lined up before the glue dries. Attach the arms to each side of Elsa’s body under each shoulder by gluing the E tab to the E area and D tab to the D area.
  8. Cut slits in the top of the skirt along the white lines, opposite of where you fold each A tab. Fold each of the dashed lines at the top of the skirt and each A tab away from you. Starting from left to right with the purple side of the skirt facing you, glue each A tab to the back of the skirt piece next to it to create pleats.
  9. When you are finished gluing the A tabs you may find it easier to glue the C tab to the inside of the skirt before gluing the final B tab pleat.
  10. Attach Elsa’s completed torso to her skirt by gluing the white side of the tabs at her waist to the top of the skirt over the areas labeled M and N. The crease on the skirt should be in the back.
  11. Lastly, you can add Elsa’s sparkly cape by using blue glitter tulle about 9 inches long and 5 inches wide. Cut the tulle into the shape of a balloon with one end 2 inches wide, and the other end 5 inches wide, keeping it 9 inches long from one end to the other. Glue the edges of the 2 inch end around the top edge of her dress along her back and sides under the arms.

Notes

Cutting should be done by an adult.

Frozen 2 Review - Epic, Ambitious and Get Ready for New Songs!

Hard to believe, but Frozen 2 is the first theatrical sequel to a Disney animated musical. With that being said, Frozen 2 is also more mature, more ambitious and more intricate than the original. A deeply satisfying sequel as there has ever been one.

We get a little more time with Anna and Elsa's parents and a little more info on what happened to their parents before they were lost at sea.

And then heading back to present day, Olaf lets us know that Elsa made peace with her powers at the end of Frozen when she discovered that the key to all of it was love. So, life in Arendelle, seems normal until one night when Elsa hears a mysterious female voice. Who is calling out to her? Elsa needs to know and this leads us into our adventure!

This call to adventure leads to an enchanted forest filled with items seemingly taken right out of Norwegian mythology. There is a worldbuilding here that not only feels authentic but is also meaningful.

The animation tops itself over and over again. The level of detail and the rich colors add to each frame being a work of art. And the story takes us to new places. The story touches on ideas of environmentality, reparations and how do we should confront the past. While some of these ideas might be vague enough to fit into a hundred similar situations, it might make the most powerful as a learning tool for families.

And the cast is back to take us through all of this unfamiliar territory. The bound of sisterhood between Anna and Else grows and grows. Kristoff gets what might be one of the movie's best songs. And there so many other stand out songs once again. "Into the Unknown" is the one they are playing over the trailers but I think the one they should have used was "Show Yourself". But any Idina Menzel song is never a bad choice to set up your movie. Olaf again owns every scene he is in and gets a lovely dramatic moment as well.

Frozen 2 may have gotten a little older since the original debuted in 2013 but it has never forgotten what made it resonate with the fans, a warm heart and a generous spirit.

CELEBRATE THE FIRST DAY OF FALL WITH AN ALL NEW “FROZEN 2” TRAILER

Why was Elsa born with magical powers? What truths about the past await Elsa as she ventures into the unknown to the enchanted forests and dark seas beyond Arendelle? The answers are calling her but also threatening her kingdom. Together with Anna, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven, she'll face a dangerous but remarkable journey. In “Frozen,” Elsa feared her powers were too much for the world. In “Frozen 2,” she must hope they are enough. From the Academy Award®-winning team—directors Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck, producer Peter Del Vecho and songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez—and featuring the voices of Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Jonathan Groff and Josh Gad, Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Frozen 2” opens in U.S. theaters on Nov. 22, 2019.

The trailer introduces the following characters and voice cast:

  • KING AGNARR – The son of King Runeard, King Agnarr is married to Queen Iduna, and is Anna and Elsa’s father. King Agnarr loves his family, and would do anything to ensure his daughters’ wellbeing and safetyAlfred Molina lends his voice to King Agnarr.
  • YELANA - The unspoken leader of the nomadic Northuldra. She is fiercely protective of her family and community but is known to soften when people show an understanding of nature and their  environment. Martha Plimpton was called on to bring Yelana to life.
  • HONEYMAREN - A member of the Northuldra, Honeymaren is a true free spirit and wants nothing more than to bring peace to the enchanted forest. She is bold and brave, with a reverence for the magic of nature. Rachel Matthews provides the voice of Honeymaren.
  • RYDER  - Eager and fun, Honeymaren's brother Ryder embraces life with optimism. Ryder's love of reindeer might just rival Kristoff's - but unlike Kristoff, Ryder has never roamed the great plains outside of the Enchanted Forest. He longs to embrace the world and venture beyond the magical mist. Jason Ritter lends his voice to Ryder.
  • BRUNI - Curious and cute, this salamander inhabits the Enchanted Forest. Though shy at first, Bruni can't help but be drawn to Elsa's icy magic and enjoys the cool snowflake treats she creates.
