FIRST LOOK AT MARVEL TELEVISION’S “VISIONQUEST” ON DISNEY+

 

Marvel Television’s “VisionQuest,” an all-new original series coming exclusively to Disney+ October 14, concludes the epic trilogy that began with 2021’s groundbreaking, award-winning “WandaVision” and 2024’s acclaimed “Agatha All Along.” The Vision himself, Paul Bettany, and Ultron, James Spader, joined executive producer and president of Marvel Studios Kevin Feige on the stage of the Honda Center in Anaheim at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event moments ago, where they teased fans with a first look at the trailer and poster for the upcoming series.

 

Vision, rebooted and having escaped from those who sought to weaponize him, has been in hiding. Searching for new meaning, he consults the AI personas embedded in his programming, including F.R.I.D.A.Y., E.D.I.T.H., J.A.R.V.I.S., and the infamous Ultron. His discreet existence ends when a bounty placed on his head thrusts him on the run with Thomas Shepard, a mysterious boy who may be Vision’s son, reincarnate. As Vision evades capture, he must confront his nature, resist Ultron's influence, and unravel the enigma that is his young companion if he’s to survive.

 

“VisionQuest” stars Paul Bettany, James Spader, Ruaridh Mollica, Todd Stashwick, T’Nia Miller, Lauren Morais, Orla Brady, Diane Morgan, Polly Frame, Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer, with Emily Hampshire and James D’Arcy. The series is directed by Christopher J. 'Kingdom Hearts' Greenlit for First-Ever Original TV Series on Disney Channel and Disney+

 

“Kingdom Hearts” (working title), an original anime series inspired by the globally beloved video game franchise, has been greenlit for Disney Channel and Disney+. Developed in partnership with video game creator Tetsuya Nomura and the creative team at SQUARE ENIX, the series reimagines the iconic adventure with a brand-new story that will expand on the universe of Kingdom Hearts while celebrating the characters that have captured the hearts of millions of fans around the world. The news was announced tonight at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.

“Kingdom Hearts has captivated gamers everywhere with its unique blend of adventure and imagination,” said Ayo Davis, president, Disney Kids & Family. “There’s something really exciting about taking a world fans have spent years exploring through the games and bringing it to life in a completely new way. MARVEL ANIMATION’S “X-MEN ’97” RETURNS TO DISNEY+ FOR SECOND SEASON ON JULY 1

 

Marvel Animation’s Emmy®-nominated series “X-Men ’97” returns to Disney+ for a second season on July 1. A trailer and poster are available now to download and share. The first season of “X-Men ‘97” is one of the most-watched Disney+ Original animated series (based on hours streamed globally), and a hit with fans and critics alike. It is currently “Certified Fresh” with a 99% on Rotten Tomatoes as of today.

 

“X-Men ’97” Season 2 continues with the heroic mutant team of X-Men, divided and thrown across different eras in time as they struggle to navigate their return home. “STAR WARS: MAUL – SHADOW LORD” TO PREMIERE ON DISNEY+ APRIL 6, 2026

 

An all-new animated series from Lucasfilm Animation, “Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord,” will premiere on Disney+ April 6, 2026. Two episodes will premiere each week, with the final two airing on the ultimate Star Wars holiday, May the 4^th. Set after the events of “Star Wars: The Clone Wars,” this pulpy adventure finds Maul plotting to rebuild his criminal syndicate on a planet untouched by the Empire. There, he crosses paths with a disillusioned young Jedi Padawan who could be the apprentice he is seeking to aid him in his relentless pursuit for revenge.

DISNEY+ SHARES SPECIAL LOOK & BRAND-NEW POSTER FOR LUCASFILM’S“ANDOR” SEASON 2

 

Disney+ released an exciting special look and unveiled a brand-new poster and images for the highly anticipated second season of Lucasfilm’s Emmy®-nominated thriller “Andor,” which returns for its long-awaited conclusion on April 22. The special look, available now on Disney+ and YouTube, offers a glimpse at the making of Season 2 of the compelling series, in which the characters and their relationships will intensify as the horizon of war draws near and Cassian becomes a key player in the Rebel Alliance. Everyone will be tested and, as the stakes rise, the betrayals, sacrifices and conflicting agendas will become profound.  

 

Rife with political intrigue, danger, tension, and high stakes, the series is a prequel to “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which portrayed a heroic band of rebels who steal the plans to the Empire’s weapon of mass destruction: The Death Star, setting the stage for the events of the original 1977 film. “Andor” sets the clock back five years from the events of “Rogue One” to tell the story of the film’s hero, Cassian Andor, and his transformation from disinterested, cynical nobody into a rebel hero on his way to an epic destiny.

Disney+ released the official trailer for the upcoming documentary “Jim Henson Idea Man.” Directed by Academy Award ^® winner Ron Howard, “Jim Henson Idea Man” chronicles the story of extraordinary artist and visionary Jim Henson. DISNEY+ DEBUTS FIRST TRAILER FOR “STAR WARS: THE ACOLYTE”

 

Disney+ debuted the first trailer and key art for Lucasfilm’s new, original series “Star Wars: The Acolyte.”  The thrilling, live-action series launches on Tuesday, June 4, with the first two episodes, exclusively on Disney+.  

In “Star Wars: The Acolyte,” an investigation into a shocking crime spree pits a respected Jedi Master (Lee Jung-jae) against a dangerous warrior from his past (Amandla Stenberg). As more clues emerge, they travel down a dark path where sinister forces reveal all is not what it seems….

 

The series stars Amandla Stenberg, Lee Jung-jae, Manny Jacinto, Dafne Keen, Charlie Barnett, Jodie Turner-Smith, Rebecca Henderson, Dean-Charles Chapman, Joonas Suotamo, and Carrie-Anne Moss.

 

Leslye Headland created the series, based on Star Wars by George Lucas, and serves as an executive producer along with Kathleen Kennedy, Simon Emanuel, Jeff F. DISNEY+ ANNOUNCES DATE FOR “STAR WARS: AHSOKA”

 

Disney+ revealed August 23 as the premiere date for Lucasfilm’s “Star Wars: Ahsoka.” To celebrate the upcoming series, Disney+ also debuted a TV spot, which will aired during the NBA Finals Game 3, and released three images from the series.   

 

Set after the fall of the Empire, “Star Wars: Ahsoka” follows the former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy. 

 

In addition to Rosario Dawson in the title role, “Ahsoka” stars Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll, Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati, Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth, David Tennant as Huyang, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn and Eman Esfandi appearing as Ezra Bridger.

“INDIANA JONES” COLLECTION OF MOVIES AND TV SERIES SWING ONTO DISNEY+ ON MAY 31

 

Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy announced today at The Walt Disney Company’s Upfronts Presentation that the iconic “Indiana Jones” movies and series will be available to stream on Disney+ starting May 31. Fans can stream “Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark,” “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom,” “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade,” “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull,” and the television series “The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones” before the final installment of the beloved franchise, “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny,” opens exclusively in theaters June 30. 

 

“Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark” 

In this first installment of the series, which was nominated for eight Academy Awards® including Best Picture and won four, archeologist-adventurer Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) is tasked by Army Intelligence to track down an invaluable staff that is the key to locating the Ark of the Covenant, which is being sought by the Nazis. 

 

“Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom”

After fleeing a nightclub shooting and being dropped out of an abandoned plane, Professor Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford), singer Willie Scott (Kate Capshaw) and 12-year-old Short Round (Ke Huy Quan) find themselves in a starving Indian village who blame their plight on the loss of three mystical stones that have always brought the village prosperity. Jones vows to return the stolen rocks — which brings him and his unlikely cohorts face-to-face with a deadly cult.

There’s nothing more exciting than trying to keep up with the Joneses in “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.” Indy’s Nazi enemies are back and have kidnapped his father, Professor Henry Jones, Sr. (Sean Connery), in their effort to locate the sacred Holy Grail. Famed archaeologist/adventurer Dr. Henry Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) is called back into action when he becomes entangled in a Soviet plot to uncover the secret behind mysterious artifacts known as the Crystal Skulls.
