Beauty and The Beast 3D at the El Capitan Theater

From the beautiful and historic El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood! If you are a Disney fan, then you owe it to yourself to watch a Disney movie here! The theatre was fully restored by The Walt Disney Company abd is the home to almost all of their premieres!

I was here to attend the first showing of Beauty and The Beast in 3D. The El Capitan is the only theatre in the U.S. that will be showing this movie!

I do my best to purchase VIP tickets. They are a more expensive than the general admission tickets, but you get reserved seating and popcorn and a drink included in the cost! In my opinion, the reserved seating makes it totally worth it! With the theatre being in Hollywood, and L.A. traffic being what it is, it's nice to know that I don't need to fight for seats when I have VIP tickets in hand!

The popcorn is one of the best in Southern California. It's always popped fresh and not too buttery or salty. And this is one of the few theatres that I have to have popcorn and soda with my movie!

The Wurlitzer Organ once played in San Francisco's Fox Theatre. They play Disney classics as you wait for the movie to start.

One of my favorite things about the theatre is when the curtain rises! Yes, the curtain actually rises here! I'm always reminded of Annie, when Daddy Warbucks buys out the entire movie theatre and the multi-layers of curtains rises. It makes me feel like a kid again, not a red-haired little girl, but definitely a kid again.

Plus, The El Capitan Theatre usually has some sort of stage show before each movie. Before Beauty and The Beast 3D however, there is no stage show. Belle does come out and thank everyone for coming out to see her movie!

Beauty and The Beast is one of my favorite Disney animated films! The 3D is stunning and the field of depth makes this one of the best films to be converted into the 3D format. There are times that I felt that this was a whole new way to look at the multi-plane camera shots of the early days with Walt.

Beauty and The Beast 3D plays only until September 15th. If you live in the Southern California area or are visiting at this time, and Beauty and The Beast is one of your favorite movies, make every effort to watch this movie!
