Snacking In The Parks: The Cove Bar Re-Opens Today (3/16/2018) until May 28th

Guess who's back? The Cove Bar's Back! Tell a friend! The Cove Bar in Disney California Adventure re-opened today and will remain opened until May 28th! After that time it will close once again until it re-opens as part of the Lamplight Lounge! But there a few things you should know!

1. All of your favorite drinks are back including the secret menu drinks! I am enjoying my first Zombie of the year!

2. You can still get the lobster nachos and yes, you can get them with tri-tip still or get them both for surf and turf!

3. The two highlighted items on the menu are new! The deviled eggs & toast and the tuna poke are not only new but will be on the new Lamplight Lounge Menu as well!

I went with the Tuna Poke and you are in for a treat! The "rice dome" is meant to be broken and you can see me doing so in the video below!

Such a fun interactive treat! Now, the big question, how did it taste? Amazing, just amazing! A lot of big pieces of sashimi grade tuna and all the flavors really work well together. There is a good amount of kick and i love that you use the broken "rice dome" as chips!

We all know that the Plaza Inn makes some of the best friend chicken around but what would make it better? Why waffles of course! So, for a limited time, the Plaza Inn is serving chicken and waffles everyday from 12 Noon until 3 PM! Hopefully this proves popular enough to become a permanent addition to the menu! Snacking In The Parks: Secret Menu Item - The Zocalo Burrito from Rancho del Zocalo!

Take a look at this monstrosity, The Zocalo burrito! This is a secret menu item at Rancho del Zocalo in Frontierland. This massive burrito must be asked for and they will put in everything on the assembly line and topped with both red and green sauce! Look at the size of this burrito! It takes up the whole plate and is only $12.99!

The water bottle in the photo below gives you an indication of just how large this burrito is! One of the best secret menu items in Disneyland and easily the largest! Oh, and it is just as delicious as it looks!

Snacking In The Parks: Secret Menu Drink - The Zombie at Cove Bar in DCA

The super popular Cove Bar overlooking Paradise Bay in Disney California Adventure is a great place to go to not only eat and drink but also to be seen. They have an amazing selection of drinks on their menu but why not go off menu and get something that not everyone is getting?

I ordered the Zombie and rum fans will want to pay attention. This drink will make you feel like Captain Jack Sparrow and at the end wonder where all the rum has gone! This drink is made up of light rum, dark rum, coconut rum, spiced rum, 151, orange juice, pineapple juice, blue curacao, midori and grenadine. Drink up me hearties yo, ho!

This drink may not be as pretty as the other drinks you see other people getting here but it more than makes up for it in sweetness and strength! Stir the drink and it looks like zombie skin!
