St. Patrick's Weekend Food Offering at Flo's V8 Cafe in Cars Land: Corned Beef and Green Mac N Cheese!

This St. Patrick's Day Weekend only, Flo's V8 Cafe in Cars Land is offering the traditional corned beef meal with sauerkraut, mashed potatoes and gravy and a roll!
They are also offering GREEN, that's right GREEN mac n cheese either as a side as seen here or as a meal!
And check out the corned beef meal itself! The corned beef was tender and flavorful! The sauerkraut is a perfect match for the salty corned beef and the mashed potatoes are the icing on the cake! As far as I know Flo's V8 Cafe is the only place in the two parks offering such a meal! So hurry in a try it before it's gone!

Thanks to @DisneylandToday the official Twitter feed for the entire Disneyland Resort. I asked if there was anything special going on for the St. Patrick's Day Weekend in the parks and they made me aware of this food offering!

Disneyland Resort Trip: Iron Man Tech, Spring Time, Cars Land and Food!

I went to The Disneyland Resort on Saturday to check out the new Iron Man Tech exhibit at Innoventions. Innoventions never had a line like this!
Here I am getting ready to 'suit up' and take the new Mark 42 armor for a test drive!

To see more of my photos as well as the video of me testing the Mark 42 armor at the Iron Man Tech exhibit click the link below:

Love this stroller parking sign at Star Tours!
Then I headed into the Star Trader to make my own droids at the Droid Factory!
These are the two that I made! I love the packaging they come in!

To see more photos of the Droid Factory click on the link below:

The Princess Fantasy Faire is quickly becoming one of my favorite places to take photos in the park!

For such a small space there are so many options of contrasting colors and angles to take photos of.
Be quiet bird! Figaro is trying to take a cat nap!
I just love how the Fantasy Faire looks like an extension of the castle that has always been here.

I love the attention to detail here. Just look at how ornate this lamp is.
 Even the roses are perfect!

I think every visit to Disneyland requires at least one photo of the castle!
Even though it is an overcast day. it still feels like spring!
I love this shot of The Partners statue. It came out so well!
Jumping across the way into Disney California Adventure! The subtle signs of spring can be felt here as well!
Lightning came on through Route 66 to say hi!
Cars Land has been my favorite place to take photo since the first time I stepped foot inside the land! It seems almost impossible to take a bad photo here!
Just another pretty day in Radiator Springs!
My favorite view of Radiator Springs! It doesn't get much better than this!
It was time to fuel up! Off to Flo's for my favorite, pork lion and Coca-Cola BBQ sauce with radiator pasta salad and cole slaw! So delicious and filling!
But there is always room for an apple-cheddar pie! One of the best around!

Thanks for taking a quick visit to The Disneyland Resort with me! Hope you had fun and let me know if you want me to take photos of anything specific in the Resort!

Cars Land: A Sneak Peek at The Menus!

Flo’s V8 Cafe

Flo’s V8 Cafe will be the place to eat at in Radiator Springs! As a quick-service option for breakfast meals, lunch, and dinner, the cafe will also have an outdoor patio overlooking Ornament Valley.

Flo’s dining room, will showcase a museum of artifacts from the legendary race car driver, Doc Hudson. Flo will also be showing off her own memorabilia from her past as a Motorama Girl.

Here is sneak peek at the menu:

Signature Breakfast Items
Breakfast at Flo’s will feature a Chicken Tamale with Scrambled Eggs, Salsa Verde, and Pico De Gallo. Rather have something on the sweet side? Try the Salted Caramel and Bananas Brioche French Toast.

Signature Lunch and Dinner Items
There will be a Veggie-Tater Bake with Roasted Vegetables, Bulgur Wheat, Soy Crumbles, and Smashed Red Skin Potatoes topped with Melted Cheddar. The recipe was posted on the Disney Parks Blog!

There will be a rotisserie, where you will be able to try Pork Loin, Citrus Turkey, or NY Strip Loin. All of these are served with your choice of Peas and Carrots, Roasted Corn Medley, Vegetarian BBQ Beans, or Mashed Potatoes.

I am most looking forward to trying the Home-Made Pies for dessert, including Apple-Cheddar, Strawberry-Rhubarb, Chocolate Mud, Blueberry-Peach, or Cherry.

Cozy Cone Motel

You won't be able to spend the night at the Cozy Cone but they will be serving up unique “cone” eats and specialty beverages. Quick-Service meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks) will be offered with limited outdoor seating.

Each Cone Has Something Different! I'm planning on having friends wait in line at all the cones so we can each try something from each!

In Cone 1, you will be able to get Churro Bites with Cinnamon-Chocolate Sauce, Cinnamon-spiced Hot Cocoa, and Ramone’s Pear of Dice Soda (Dessert Pear Syrup, Mojito Syrup, and Sprite).

Cone 2 offers soft-serve Ice Cream and “Route” Beer Floats!

Cone 3 will be your more savory options served in bread cones! The list here includes Breakfast Cones like Bacon Scrambled Egg or Scrambled Egg Verde. Lunch and Dinner Cones here include that fun Chili Cone Queso that we have heard so much about!

Drinks at Cone 3 include Filmore’s Fuelin’ Groovy Ades — All Natural Lemonade with Wildberry Foam OR Pomegranate Limeade with Lemon-Lime Foam.

Cone 4 is going to have cheese sauce! Pretzel Bites with Cheesy Sauce and another fun non-alcoholic drink: Red’s Apple Freeze — Frozen Apple Juice with Toasted Marshmallow Syrup, and Passion Fruit-Mango Foam. Toasted Marshmallow Syrup!

Finally, in Cone 5, two popcorn flavors will be featured each day. Get ready to try Salt & Vinegar, Pickle, Bacon & Cheddar, Sweet & Spicy, or Nacho Cheese. Doc’s Wild Grape Tonic (Sprite with Wild Grape Syrup and Wild Berry Foam) will be the specialty drink here!.

This is the dill flavored pop 'cone' which was pretty good. The dill flavor is very subtle! I found it quite addicting and ate two 'cones' worth!
Here is a better look at the 'cone' the pop 'cone' came in!

Fillmore’s Taste-In

Fillmore’s Taste-In will be a snack kiosk offering on-the-go healthy foods. Featuring fresh fruit (whole and cut) and beverages (bottled water, juices, soft drinks)!

I can't wait to try all of these places! I wonder how long I'll be in line just for food?

Flo's V8 Cafe Timelapse at Disney California Adventure Park

We love time-lapse cameras here at the Disneyland Resort. We have one in Cars Land that captured the installation of the neon sign at Flo's V8 Café back in January. Watch it transform from day to night and make sure to hang around until the end of the video. The payoff is worth it. Read more at the Disney Parks Blog: http://bit.ly/GLVtYH

Find out some of the food options from Flo's V8 Cafe in Cars Land!

With design inspired by the kitschy roadside eateries along on Route 66, Flo’s V8 Café starts with
old-fashioned, filling breakfast dishes like chicken tamale with scrambled eggs, salsa verde and pico de gallo; or brioche French toast served with salted caramel and bananas. For lunch, we get a taste of the delicious, filling veggie-tater casserole with roasted veggies, bulgur wheat, Boca Crumbles and smashed red skin potatoes topped with melted cheddar. But it’s the sweet pies everyone’s waiting for, including apple-cheddar and cherry.
