Blue Sky Cellar Welcomes the Radiator Springs Historical Society’s Museum of the History of Radiator Springs

On June 8, the Blue Sky Cellar at Disney California Adventure park will host a brand-new exhibit: The Radiator Springs Historical Society’s Museum of the History of Radiator Springs. This is your chance to learn all about the history of Radiator Springs as we get ready for the arrival of its famous residents in Cars Land on June 15!

According to Sally Carerra, president of the Radiator Springs Historical Society, “The items in this museum have been kindly donated by dear friends and neighbors, the residents of Radiator Springs.” So be sure to stop by Blue Sky Cellar for your Radiator Springs history lesson before you motor around the corner to Cars Land!

Blue Sky Cellar — Buena Vista Street preview

This video is shown in the Walt Disney Imagineering Blue Sky Cellar at Disney California Adventure park and offers a preview of Buena Vista Street, the park's new main entrance complex. Here, Disney Imagineers discuss the goals, design intent, and purpose of the new themed area which is under construction now. The video debuted September 23, 2011 when the Blue Sky Cellar reopened with an all-new exhibit previewing Buena Vista Street.

The Road to Cars Land opens Feb. 29th!

The Blue Sky Cellar opens back up on February 29th with "The Road to Cars Land!" I hope to check it out! I can't wait for the newest land in Disney California Adventure to open this summer!

Blue Sky Cellar reopens Feb 29th with "The Road to Cars Land"

When the Blue Sky Cellar opens it's doors on Fenruary 29th, it will take you into Cars Land! The last part of this billion dollar makeover of the Disney California Adventure Park! It will feature a model of the land, maquettes of some of the new ride vehicles, and sketches and early concept art.

Brand-new Cars Land attractions posters will be included in this latest update. Other items to be featured will include the shovel used during the ground-breaking ceremony in July 2009 with the signatures of John Lasseter, Director of “Cars” and Principal Creative Advisor, Walt Disney Imagineering, and other project team members. A new video at Walt Disney Imagineering Blue Sky Cellar will feature John, the Cars Land design team, project architects and landscapers providing insights into the innovations behind the new land opening this summer at Disney California Adventure park.

Once the expansion is complete, Walt Disney Imagineering Blue Sky Cellar will continue to be a preview center for new experiences planned for the Disneyland Resort.
