Snacking In The Parks: Mich-Helado from Clarabelle's on Buena Vista Street
One of the most popular drinks in Disney California Adventure Park is the michelada that you can find at the beverage stand near Monster's Inc. and over at Bayside Brews in the Pier area.
But now you can also get a Mich-Helado at Clarabelle's Hand=Scooped Ice Cream on Buena Vista Street. It is an amber lager with a spiced tomato and lime sorbet on a stick with house-made tamarindo sauce and chili-lime seasoning! Not sure how long it will stay on the menu so hurry and try one now!

Snacking In The Parks: Chocolate Covered Strawberries Dole Whip Hack
Take a look at this beauty! Chocolate covered strawberries with with a dole whip! No, this is not the latest Disneyland creation but one you can make yourself!
I started this simple hack by purchasing a strawberry and chocolate cup from Tropical Imports in Adventureland and then headed off to purchase a dole whip. I then took a seat over at the Jolly Holiday and took the stems off the strawberries and placed then to make it look as visually appealing as I could. Then I drizzled the chocolate from the chocolate cup all over the strawberries and dole whip! That's how simple that was! Dig in and enjoy! You're welcome!

2. You can still get the lobster nachos and yes, you can get them with tri-tip still or get them both for surf and turf!
3. The two highlighted items on the menu are new! The deviled eggs & toast and the tuna poke are not only new but will be on the new Lamplight Lounge Menu as well!
I went with the Tuna Poke and you are in for a treat! The "rice dome" is meant to be broken and you can see me doing so in the video below!
A post shared by Jason Sasaki (@sasakitime) on
Such a fun interactive treat! Now, the big question, how did it taste? Amazing, just amazing! A lot of big pieces of sashimi grade tuna and all the flavors really work well together. There is a good amount of kick and i love that you use the broken "rice dome" as chips!
Here is my broken "rice dome" with the tuna poke!
That first bite will get to come back for more!
So, what are you waiting for? The Cove Bar is back until May 28th and get the Tuna Poke!

Snacking In The Parks: New Menu at Cocina Cucamonga in DCA
Time for another edition of Snacking In The Parks! This time around I take a look at the new menu for Cocina Cucamonga in the Pacific Wharf at Disney California Adventure Park.
Above is a look at the new menu. Literally everything is new and everything sounds amazing! I had a difficult time making a choice! The main items are street tacos and bowls and you can choose from four different proteins! Plus, they have salads and a new marinated chicken! They will also have a seasonal margarita flavor and two different Aguas Frescas!
I decided on a Cocina Bowl with al pastor! In the bowl you get pineapple achiote-marinated pork, cilantro-lime rice, epazote black beans, queso fresco, roasted corn, cucumber-tomato slaw and cilantro. All of the flavors blend together seemlessly and it is a rather large portion! Fresh and flavorful, this will be an item I order again!
I also ordered one of the aguas frescas they offer. This is the mango one. The other offering is the seasonal offering, which right now is a watermelon one. The mango one was sweet and refreshing!
To finish my meal, I ordered an ensalada de frutas! A seasonal fruit selection of mango, pineapple and watermelon with chamoy and chili-lime salt! A perfect way to end the meal!
I cannot wait to try more of this exciting new menu!

Vehicle Review: 2018 Hyundai Elantra GT - Food and Adventures at Disneyland!
Time to check out the 2018 Hyundai Elantra GT! I love driving smaller vehicles and was excited to drive the Hyundai Elantra GT! The 2-18 Hyundai Elantra GT was beautifully redesigned and I love the cascading grille and the vertical LED running lights.
Took an early drive down to the San Diego area to pick up a friend. The drive was amazing! The 2.0L DOHC 4-cylinder engine supplied plenty of power to handle the Southern California freeways! You get good gas mileage with 24 MPG in the city and 32 MPG on the highway. Put the 2018 Hyundai Elantra into Sports Mode and you may never get out of the car! The large 17-inch alloy wheels grip the curvy foothill roads on the way to my friends house.
The style package on the 2018 Hyundai Elantra GT gives you blind spot detection and rear cross-traffic alert, two of my favorite safety features on any vehicle. You also get the side mirror turn indicators, proximity key with push button start, leather wrapped steering wheel and gear shifter, power driver's seat and heated front seats.
Time to load up the trunk which is huge for a small car! So much room for all of your luggage and more!
The layout of the cockpit is surprisingly roomy and filled with tech that larger cars have.
Awesome to find a panoramic sunroof! One of the unexpected finds on the 2018 Hyundai Elantra GT! This comes in the Tech Package that also includes full LED headlights and taillights, leather seating surfaces, electronic parking brake, the Qi wireless charging pad for compatible smartphones, ventilated front seats, auto-dimming rearview mirror with BlueLink, HomeLink and Compass and carpeted floor mats.
Not that I need any navigation tool to help me find which way it is to Disneyland! But we are almost there! I love the large 8-inch infotainment touchscreen that has both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay across all trims.
We reached Disneyland and it was time to enjoy a Teddi Beara Lavender Sparkler which tasted like lychee and was absolutely delicious and refreshing!
We picked up some reading material as well! The second volume of Tales of The Haunted Mansion came out and was a must buy after reading the first one and how amazing it was!
Then it was time to eat and it was time to try a secret menu item, the Galactic Style burger from the Galactic Grill in Tomorrowland! Think of it as a tasty cross between an In N Out animal style burger and a McDonald's Big Mac! Amazing and delicious, a must have!
When you close down Disneyland you can get a cool photo like this in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle all by yourself!
And just as important is a photo on a nearly empty Main Street!
The 2018 Hyundai Elantra GT came in at $27, 460.00 as tested. A solid, fun-to-drive hatchback with great tech and safety features makes this a vehicle worth looking at!

Snacking In The Parks: Late Night Menu at the Galactic Grill in Tomorrowland
Disneyland started a special late night menu at the Galactic Grill in Disneyland that starts at 9pm until the park closes! Now we did not try everything on the menu but here is what we did try:
First up is the green apple lemonade with a glow cube! Now many of you know that I am not a fan of anything sour but I do love green apple! The sour is very subtle and the drink is very refreshing! I would get this again!
Next up was the Lunar Space-adilla, a quesadilla with pepper jack cheese, Ortega chiles, chicken breast and served with a chipotle-ranch sauce. This was really delicious! My friend and I both ate the entire thing and the dipping sauce is a must. There is just the right amount of kick in it for me and I love spicy while my friend Dee does not like spicy but she loved it as well!
We also got the sweet chili sauce Star Clusters, a waffle bowl filled with crispy chicken bites over a blue cheese cole slaw and pickle chips. You can also choose from buffalo sauce if you don't like the sweet chili sauce. The chicken bites are large and flavorful while I wish the blue cheese cole slaw had more blue cheese. I love pickle chips and the waffle bowl was great but too bad it couldn't have been an actual waffle.
Last but not least is the Meteor Potato Bites, tater tots topped with chopped ground beef, caramelized onions, house sauce and sharp cheddar cheese sauce. The best way to describe this is animal style fries from In N Out! Seriously that good!
So a great menu if you are at Disneyland late! Now off to find more food in the parks!
Snacking In The Parks: Lobster Galley Chips from Harbour Galley
Take a look at the Lobster Galley Chips from Harbour Galley across from the exit of The Haunted Mansion! House-fried potato chips with a generous amount of lobster, cheddar cheese sauce, spicy-lime mayo and chives make this a great snack for yourself or to share! This is yet another "Fantasmic!"-inspired snack! These were delicious and cannot wait to get them again!
Snacking In The Parks: S'mores Churro
Another "Fantasmic!"-inspired snack is this delicious s'mores churro! You can only get it at the churro cart near the Hungry Bear in Critter Country. It is a delicious graham cracker churro with a chocolate and marshmallow dipping sauce! This is a winner and something I cannot wait to get again!

Snacking In The Parks: Teddi Beara Lavender Sparkler
One of the new treats for the new "Fantasmic!" at Disneyland is this delicious Teddi Beara Lavender Sparkler drink available at the Hungry Bear Restaurant! This sparkling drink is a delicious blend of lavender, elderflower and lemon reminds me of lychee! It is cool and refreshing!
