Vehicle Review: 2018 Hyundai Elantra Eco - Disneyland and Food Adventures!

It's time for another vehicle review and this time it is the 2018 Hyundai Elantra ECO. The Eco is for economy and let's see if the vehicle delivers in terms of fuel economy and in value. The base features include 15-inch alloy wheels, Apple CarPlay and Android auto capabilities, heated front seats, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, HD and satellite radio, hands-free trunk, blind-spot detection, rear cross-traffic alert, and a rearview camera.

Of course I am heading out to Disneyland as we welcome back Pirates of the Caribbean back with some changes to the auction scene!

Time to hop in the driver's seat! The seat is large and comfortable!

The cabin is spacious! All the displays are large and bright with all of the controls easily within reach.

Lots of legroom in the back!

My friend Stephanie and I went to Disneyland to check out the changes to Pirates of The Caribbean and on our way we ran into this guy! He was wondering why the rum was gone!

Vehicle Review: 2018 Hyundai Elantra Limited - Rain, Disneyland, Dole Whip Flights and Pi(e) Day

Time for another vehicle review and this time it is the 2018 Hyundai Elantra Limited! This was one of my favorite vehicles to review last year and the 2018 version is nearly identical to the 2017 version.

It was a rare rainy day here in Southern California and the 2018 Hyundai Elantra Limited handled masterfully in the wet conditions. The vehicle I reviewed had the Ultimate Package added to it and gave a wide variety of safety features to the Limited including tire pressure monitoring, vehicle stability management, electronic stability control, traction control, anti-lock braking, brake assist, blind-spot detection with rear cross-traffic alert, a rearview camera, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian crossing, smart cruise control, lane keep assist, automatic high beam assist and HID headlights with dynamic bending light.

And what better place to drive in the rain than to Hula Girl Shave Ice in Huntington Beach to try this beauty, the dole whip flight! They currently only offer it on the weekends and you have to ask for it since it is not on the menu! The dole whip flavors shown here are not always going to be on the menu so you never know what you are going to get. But as seen here, going from left to right you have strawberry and dole whip, strawberry dole whip, pineapple dole whip, orange dole whip and citrus swirl which is orange dole whip and vanilla soft serve! You get all of this for only $10! Such a deal and totally delicious! Oh, bring a friend because this is way too much for one person to finish!

The next day it was time to hop back into the driver's seat and head to Disneyland! You can take a 360 degree look around in the vehicle interior and see just how roomy it is! The Ultimate Package on the 2018 Hyundai Elantra Limited gives you a navigation system with an 8-inch touchscreen, Infinity Premium Audio with eight speakers and a subwoofer, power sunroof, leather seats with heated front and rear seats, driver's seat memory and Blue Link.

Another early morning when you are the first one in the Disneyland parking lot! Love coming early to get a great parking and to get into the park at rope drop!

Vehicle Review: 2018 Hyundai Sonata Limited - Titanic, a Wedding and a Food Adventure!

Hi everyone! It's Jason from Sasaki Time and it is time for another vehicle review! This time it is for the 2018 Hyundai Sonata Limited! The 2018 version has received a significant refresh. The lines were changed to give the Sonata a more family vehicle vibe.

There are large LED headlights and taillights, the headlights have dynamic bending light technology to light your way as the roads curve to help you to see around the bend, LED daytime running lights, large 17-inch alloy wheels, and heated side mirrors with turn signal indicators.

Time to hop into the driver's seat and meet a friend to see the 20th Anniversary re-release of Titanic.

Hard to believe that it has been 20 years since the movie Titanic hit theaters. For the 20th Anniversary release, Titanic was mastered for Dolby's premiere Dolby Cinema Theater. This is by far my favorite way to see a movie. Dolby partnered with AMC and has created the perfect way to watch a movie. The theater is a equipped with a floor to ceiling and wall to wall screen, a perfectly blacked out theater, Dolby Atmos speakers, a Dolby vision projector that produces the inkiest blacks, and perfectly aligned stadium seats that are angled at the edges to still provide the best view of the screen.

Watching Titanic in Dolby Cinema was like watching this movie for the very first time. The colors were sharp and breathtaking and you can feel the roar of the engines and feeling the rush of the flooding waters gave a bigger sense of urgency to get out of the ship. A truly amazing experience and hope that Dolby partners with more filmmakers to bring older films to this format for limit releases.

Take a 360 degree look at the interior. As you can see there is a lot of leg room for both the front and the rear passengers. There are power front seats with integrated memory seat for the driver's seat, heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel and a power tilt and slide sunroof.

Vehicle Review: 2018 Hyundai Elantra GT - Food and Adventures at Disneyland!

Time to check out the 2018 Hyundai Elantra GT! I love driving smaller vehicles and was excited to drive the Hyundai Elantra GT! The 2-18 Hyundai Elantra GT was beautifully redesigned and I love the cascading grille and the vertical LED running lights.

Took an early drive down to the San Diego area to pick up a friend. The drive was amazing! The 2.0L DOHC 4-cylinder engine supplied plenty of power to handle the Southern California freeways! You get good gas mileage with 24 MPG in the city and 32 MPG on the highway.  Put the 2018 Hyundai Elantra into Sports Mode and you may never get out of the car! The large 17-inch alloy wheels grip the curvy foothill roads on the way to my friends house.

The style package on the 2018 Hyundai Elantra GT gives you blind spot detection and rear cross-traffic alert, two of my favorite safety features on any vehicle. You also get the side mirror turn indicators, proximity key with push button start, leather wrapped steering wheel and gear shifter, power driver's seat and heated front seats.

Time to load up the trunk which is huge for a small car! So much room for all of your luggage and more!

The layout of the cockpit is surprisingly roomy and filled with tech that larger cars have.

Awesome to find a panoramic sunroof! One of the unexpected finds on the 2018 Hyundai Elantra GT! This comes in the Tech Package that also includes full LED headlights and taillights, leather seating surfaces, electronic parking brake, the Qi wireless charging pad for compatible smartphones, ventilated front seats, auto-dimming rearview mirror with BlueLink, HomeLink and Compass and carpeted floor mats.

Not that I need any navigation tool to help me find which way it is to Disneyland! But we are almost there! I love the large 8-inch infotainment touchscreen that has both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay across all trims.

We reached Disneyland and it was time to enjoy a Teddi Beara Lavender Sparkler which tasted like lychee and was absolutely delicious and refreshing!

We picked up some reading material as well! The second volume of Tales of The Haunted Mansion came out and was a must buy after reading the first one and how amazing it was!

Then it was time to eat and it was time to try a secret menu item, the Galactic Style burger from the Galactic Grill in Tomorrowland! Think of it as a tasty cross between an In N Out animal style burger and a McDonald's Big Mac! Amazing and delicious, a must have!

When you close down Disneyland you can get a cool photo like this in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle all by yourself!

And just as important is a photo on a nearly empty Main Street!

The 2018 Hyundai Elantra GT came in at $27, 460.00 as tested. A solid, fun-to-drive hatchback with great tech and safety features makes this a vehicle worth looking at!

Vehicle Review: 2017 Hyundai Sonata Sport - Cars Land, Food Adventures and the Pizza Planet Truck!

The latest vehicle review is for the 2017 Hyundai Sonata Sport. No better place to take the Sonata Sport than to The Disneyland Resort! The sun is coming up as we are early to the parking lot! Cars Land here we come!

Take a look at the image above for a 360 view of Route 66 in Radiator Springs shortly after the nightly neon lighting ceremony! This lighting event occurs just after sunset and is a sight not to be missed!

After a great day in Cars Land, the next day it was off on a food adventure of course! But first let's take a look at the smooth lines of the 2017 Hyundai Sonata Sport! All trims come with heated side mirrors and automatic headlights. The Sport version has dual exhaust pipes, a sport front grille and LED daytime running lights. The Sport also comes with 17-inch wheels.

The engine is a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder GDI engine with a 6-speed transmission that generates 185 hp. Fuel economy comes in at 25 mpg in the city/35 mpg on the highway/28 mpg combined.

There are also some solid safety features including a rear-view camera, traction control, stability control and brake-assist features. Inside there is a full compliment of airbags including a driver's knee airbag.

Take a look at the image above in 360 of the spacious interior of the 2017 Hyundai Sonata Sport. The driver gets an 8-way power adjustable driver's seat. The Sonata easily seats five passengers in a very quiet cabin. There is a generous amount of legroom in both rows. Plus, there is a large amount of space in the trunk.

The displays are nicely laid out. The center console has everything easily within the drivers reach. You also get illuminated vanity mirrors, a tilt/telescopic steering wheel, 6-speaker audio system with HD Radio, Bluetooth, satellite radio, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

With Disneyland done, it was time for food adventures! The first place I went to is a favorite of mine, Joe's Italian Ice on Harbor Blvd. just down the street from Disneyland! I am having one of their latest flavors, soft serve dole whip with a chocolate shell! A must have!

The next food adventure was for these rolled ice cream waffle tacos from Sweet Cups in Garden Grove! The left is the Vietnamese coffee ice cream and the one on the right is the Monsters, Inc. one which is like a cookies and cream. And yes, they were both delicious!

I ended up my week by hanging out with my friend who owns the Pizza Planet Truck! Here we are meeting up for lunch at a local pizza place called Pizza Press located directly across the street from the Guardians of The Galaxy: Mission Breakout attraction on Harbor Blvd.

Love hanging out with the Pizza Planet Truck and seeing old friend Buzz and Woody!

The 2017 Hyundai Sonata Sport offers a smooth ride, lots of room, great fuel economy, advanced safety features and fun tech items all make this a highly recommended family vehicle or a commuter vehicle.

Vehicle Review: 2017 Hyundai Elantra Limited - Dapper Day, Food Adventures and Guardians of The Galaxy, Vol. 2

It's time for another vehicle review and this time it is for the 2017 Hyundai Elantra Limited! The Limited was my vehicle for some of my favorite events of the year including Spring Dapper Day at Disneyland, food adventures and an early media screening to Guardians of The Galaxy, Vol. 2!

We started our review week with the Dapper Day Expo at The Disneyland Hotel! For those of you not familiar with Dapper Day, it is a twice yearly event at Disneyland and almost every Disney theme park around the world. The idea was inspired by the original concept art for the park and throwback to a simpler time when men and women and yes, even children dressed up in their Sunday best to venture out into the world. While not an official Disney event, this fan event has grown to cover various time periods and grows in popularity every year. Along with my friend Kristen, it is one of my favorite Disney events of the year.

The weekend event includes a Dapper Day Expo held at The Disneyland Hotel convention center. Various companies show off their Dapper goods from women's clothing to men's clothing to accessories.

Using the Samsung Gear 360 camera to take this really fun photo of Kristen and myself at the Dapper Day Expo!

After a great day at the Dapper Day Expo, it was an early Sunday start to head to Disneyland for Dapper Day! The Elantra, while a compact four door sedan, is transformed into a premium sedan with the Limited option! The exterior has a gorgeous chrome grille and chrome door handles! There are also stunning LED daytime running lights, LED taillights and even door handle approach lights. And the 17-inch alloy wheels are stunning!

The premium features continue inside with standard leather seats. You will also find that the front seats are heated, a power driver's seat, a leather wrapped steering wheel and keyless entry with push- button start. There is nothing like arriving at Dapper Day at Disneyland in style!

Kristen and I went to Dapper Day, Disney Bounding as Carl and Ellie from the Pixar film UP. Disney Bounding is creating a look that emulates a Disney character without actually dressing up exactly like them which would be cosplay. All of our accessories are handcrafted from various people. Kristen's Ellie badge parasol and my UP balloons umbrella were big hits!

It is always a great day in the parks and thrilled with how many people liked our outfits and accessories.

Another successful Dapper Day for us!

The hands-free smart trunk came in handy to put away all of our Dapper Day accessories.

After a successful Dapper Day it is time for a food adventure! The first place is Birthdae Cake in Fountain Valley! The above is actually edible cookie dough on an ice cream cone! Absolutely amazing!

The next adventure was to Nitrolado, also in Fountain Valley, that specializes in nitrogen ice cream, but I was here for the churro pops! Fresh made churros wrapped into a lollipop! This is the maple bacon churro pop!

Time to head back into the cockpit and drive! The dual climate control system, a large 7-inch color display, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, USB ports, a rearview camera, BlueLink, blind spot detection with rear-traffic alert are all included.

There are two package options to choose from, the tech or the ultimate package. While the tech package can be purchased alone, the ultimate package requires you to get the tech package as well. The tech package adds navigation with a larger 8-inch touchscreen, an Infinity audio system with eight speakers that include a center speaker and a subwoofer, a power sunroof, heated rear seats and a auto-dimming rearview mirror.

The ultimate package adds HID headlights with dynamic bending light technology to help around corners, automatic high beam assist, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, smart cruise control, lane departure warning, lane keep assist and a memory system for the driver's seat and exterior mirrors.

And all of this tech and luxury is more than enough to emulate a spaceship as I head to my final adventure of the week and that was an early media screening of Guardians of The Galaxy, Vol. 2! I loved the first one and the sequel is one of my most anticipated films of the year and I was not let down. Taking the characters that we learned about in the first one and expanding upon their relationships and motivations make this a huge summer movie!

My new Baby Groot popcorn bucket and sipper! I love these so much because I am just a big kid!

The 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine creates 147 horsepower and provides plenty of power for your daily driving needs. I had no problems in the Southern California area at all. Getting onto the freeways was a breeze with the horsepower as well city driving. The ride was smooth though the cabin wasn't whisper quiet which is a problem with small cars. The Limited gets 32 MPG combines with 28 in the city and 37 on the highway.

The Elantra starts off at $17,150 but the Limited Edition with both the tech and ultimate packages brings the total to $27,880. You also get the best warranty with a five-year, 60,000-mile new vehicle limited warranty and a 10-year, 100,000-mile powertrain warranty. There is also five years of complimentary roadside assistance.

A stylish looking compact sedan with a ton of options and the best warranty in the business make this a vehicle that should not be overlooked.

2016 Hyundai Azera Limited - The Best Sedan You Aren't Driving...Yet!

I spent the Fourth of July weekend driving the beautifully streamlined 2016 Hyundai Azera Limited. This is Hyundai's full-sized sedan that offers enough features to take on other more expensive makes. I drove from Orange County to visit my parents in Sacramento. Let's see what I thought about the vehicle after a full week of driving.

The great looks of the 2016 Hyundai Azera Limited begin at the front with that gorgeous Fluidic Sculpture design that is only exceeded by the Genesis. You get HID xenon headlights with LED accents and LED fog lights. The 19-inch alloy wheels provide amazing traction while driving.

The interior says it is a luxury vehicle. The leather upholstery of the 12-way power adjustable drivers seat were so comfortable and supportive on the 6 hour drive to Northern California. The cooled ventilated seat was welcomed while driving through the California Central Valley that reached a high of 108 degrees.

The cockpit is nicely laid out. Everything is easily within reach. I love the two-tone trim that gives it more of a luxury vehicle feel.
