Vehicle Review: 2017 Hyundai Sonata Sport - Cars Land, Food Adventures and the Pizza Planet Truck!
The latest vehicle review is for the 2017 Hyundai Sonata Sport. No better place to take the Sonata Sport than to The Disneyland Resort! The sun is coming up as we are early to the parking lot! Cars Land here we come!
Take a look at the image above for a 360 view of Route 66 in Radiator Springs shortly after the nightly neon lighting ceremony! This lighting event occurs just after sunset and is a sight not to be missed!
After a great day in Cars Land, the next day it was off on a food adventure of course! But first let's take a look at the smooth lines of the 2017 Hyundai Sonata Sport! All trims come with heated side mirrors and automatic headlights. The Sport version has dual exhaust pipes, a sport front grille and LED daytime running lights. The Sport also comes with 17-inch wheels.
The engine is a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder GDI engine with a 6-speed transmission that generates 185 hp. Fuel economy comes in at 25 mpg in the city/35 mpg on the highway/28 mpg combined.
There are also some solid safety features including a rear-view camera, traction control, stability control and brake-assist features. Inside there is a full compliment of airbags including a driver's knee airbag.
Take a look at the image above in 360 of the spacious interior of the 2017 Hyundai Sonata Sport. The driver gets an 8-way power adjustable driver's seat. The Sonata easily seats five passengers in a very quiet cabin. There is a generous amount of legroom in both rows. Plus, there is a large amount of space in the trunk.
The displays are nicely laid out. The center console has everything easily within the drivers reach. You also get illuminated vanity mirrors, a tilt/telescopic steering wheel, 6-speaker audio system with HD Radio, Bluetooth, satellite radio, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
With Disneyland done, it was time for food adventures! The first place I went to is a favorite of mine, Joe's Italian Ice on Harbor Blvd. just down the street from Disneyland! I am having one of their latest flavors, soft serve dole whip with a chocolate shell! A must have!
The next food adventure was for these rolled ice cream waffle tacos from Sweet Cups in Garden Grove! The left is the Vietnamese coffee ice cream and the one on the right is the Monsters, Inc. one which is like a cookies and cream. And yes, they were both delicious!
I ended up my week by hanging out with my friend who owns the Pizza Planet Truck! Here we are meeting up for lunch at a local pizza place called Pizza Press located directly across the street from the Guardians of The Galaxy: Mission Breakout attraction on Harbor Blvd.
Love hanging out with the Pizza Planet Truck and seeing old friend Buzz and Woody!
The 2017 Hyundai Sonata Sport offers a smooth ride, lots of room, great fuel economy, advanced safety features and fun tech items all make this a highly recommended family vehicle or a commuter vehicle.

Jurassic Park 05 and Pizza Planet Truck Meet at Joe's Italian Ice!
Hey everybody! We had a very successful turn out the other Sunday at the new Joe's Italian Ice location in Anaheim! Both of my favorite movie vehicles were on hand to take photos and talk with everyone who came out!
Let's take a closer look at the Pizza Planet Truck and Jurassic Park Jeep 05!
Here, of course the Pizza Planet Truck of Toy Story fame!
Here is the truck from the side! Notice the new rocket on top of the truck! It is a much larger one than what was up there previously!
Lil Oishi had to stand next to the new rocket!
Take a look at the interior of the truck! Love the detail of the LGMs (little green men) hanging from the rear view mirror! Plus, notice the gear shift ball? Why, it's the Pixar ball!
All the movie accurate details on the back of the truck!
Perhaps my favorite bumper sticker of all-time!
Lil Oishi loves KRAT FM!
Lil Oishi wanted to point out that the license plate is the same letters and numbers as in the movie!
They will let anyone drive! Ok no not really!
Getting ready to deliver pizza's with a smile!
Now, let's take a closer look at the Jurassic Park Jeep 05!
I love the hang tag and that suspicious looking can of "shaving cream"!
Taking a look at the interior!
That pith helmet is ready to be worn!
Something is hatching from those eggs! Why it's a baby raptor!
Such a comfortable seat! Hopefully we don't run into any fast moving carnivores out on the road!
Light check! Don't want to get stuck out in the jungle without lights!
One last look at both of my favorite movie cars! Look for another meet up soon and hopefully some fun new projects with both vehicles!

Disney/Pixar's BRAVE - Easter Egg - The Pizza Planet Truck!
ANCIENT DELIVERY – The Witch, an eccentric crone disguised as a woodcarver specializing in whittling wooden bear figurines and conjuring haphazard spells, showcases her mysterious and inexplicable knowledge of the future with a carved figurine of the infamous Pizza Planet truck, an iconic delivery vehicle that’s appeared in nearly every full-length feature film from Pixar Animation Studios since 1995’s Toy Story. Disney•Pixar’s Brave is in theaters now.

The Real Pizza Planet Truck!
As many of you know I am a HUGE Disney fan! If there is one part of the company that I truly love it is Pixar! Pixar makes me think that this is the way that The Walt Disney Company was when it was just the Disney Brothers Studio. A place that was small, intimate, where everybody knew each other on a first name basis, and was about to change the way the world viewed things.
I do my best to never pass up an opportunity to do anything Pixar! So, of course I jumped at the chance to meet some of the guys (Marco and Will) who worked for over a year on building an exact replica of the "Toy Story" Pizza Planet Truck!
How exact you say? Well for starters, let's check out the license plate! Yes, it is the same license plate as seen in the movie! The guys were shocked that no one had taken the license plate when they did their search through the California DMV! They figured that someone, a Pixar employee or a Toy Story fan, would have taken it years ago.
More great detail exists inside the truck! Right down to the three eyed alien guys hanging from the rear view mirror!
The team did discover they had an error here on the logo however. It was told to them that it's not pepperoni's on the pizza logo but mushrooms!
Sitting in the driver's seat! I feel the need to go and deliver pizza's in 30 minutes or less!
I actually think it would be cool if they made some fake Pizza Planet pizza boxes! It would make for another great photo op!
Another successful pizza delivery!
Now my beautiful friend Sarah got her chance behind the wheel as well!
Taking a look at the truck in all of it's glory!
Yes, the rocket ship does light up at night!
Checking out the backside of the truck! The famous "YO" is there!
All of the stickers were replicated by a guy they met online in Colorado! They sent him the high res images and he made the stickers for them! Disney could make some money by actually selling a package of these stickers!

I will not drive 55 miles per hour! Those pizzas need to get there in less than 30 minutes!
KRAT Radio! No, not a knock on Disney, but named in reference to Pixar art director Tia Kratter!
Besides the famous "YO" on the back of the truck, check out the dirt! Yes, they actually threw the dirt onto the truck themselves, no cheap painted on dirt here! Marco said they hope to add dirt from all the places they visit! That will be their trademark!
Perhaps my favorite bumper sticker of all!
It was an amazing day with both Marco and Will! I appreciate all of the great stories they shared with me and my friend Sarah! These two guys and their friends created something that brought happiness to them and now they share it literally the world! The best part of the day was watching other people's reactions while we talked near the truck! The sheer joy in people's voices as they recognized the Pizza Planet Truck was just fantastic!

They also mentioned that they have no plans to venture out of California...yet...
