Snacking In The Parks: Star Wars Galaxy's Edge Blue Milk and Cereal

I absolutely love Star Wars Galaxy's Edge at Disneyland and once I saw the blue and green milk I knew I had to try what one of these milks would taste like with cereal! We brought in some individual size Froot Loops and got some blue milk from the Milk Stand. How would this taste? Well, let's find out!

The frozen consistency of the blue milk proved to be very interesting as we poured it into the bowl. The blue milk didn't make the cereal soggy which was a plus! And believe it or not the two flavors work really well together!

For those of you wondering, blue milk is a non-dairy, plant-based beverage made with coconut and rice milks. Blue milk is flavored with dragonfruit, pineapple, lime and watermelon.

Even as the blue milk melted to a more milk-like state, the cereal still stayed pretty crunchy.

Well, there you have it, blue milk and cereal! I may bring in other cereals to try and see which one is the best with blue milk! We may even do another one with the green milk and see which one wins out!

Snacking In The Parks: Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats has Lemon Dole Whip!

The Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats in the upcoming Pixar Pier is now open for business! And yes, they have lemon dole whip! You can get it in two sizes and in a cup or on a cone! They also have chocolate and vanilla soft-serve if lemon doesn't float your boat!

There are also two specialty items and I have tried them both!

Take a look at the beautiful Pixar Pier Parfait in the above photo! This beauty combines the lemon soft serve (dole whip) with blue raspberry slush! The sour of the lemon soft-serve and the sweetness of the raspberry blends perfectly together!

Here is a look at the menu!

Here is the, It's Snow-Capped Lemon! The lemon soft serve is dipped in white chocolate! So good and refreshing!

Who is excited to try these new items?

Snacking In The Parks: Chocolate Covered Strawberries Dole Whip Hack

Take a look at this beauty! Chocolate covered strawberries with with a dole whip! No, this is not the latest Disneyland creation but one you can make yourself!

I started this simple hack by purchasing a strawberry and chocolate cup from Tropical Imports in Adventureland and then headed off to purchase a dole whip. I then took a seat over at the Jolly Holiday and took the stems off the strawberries and placed then to make it look as visually appealing as I could. Then I drizzled the chocolate from the chocolate cup all over the strawberries and dole whip! That's how simple that was! Dig in and enjoy! You're welcome!

Snacking In The Parks: New Menu at Cocina Cucamonga in DCA

Time for another edition of Snacking In The Parks! This time around I take a look at the new menu for Cocina Cucamonga in the Pacific Wharf at Disney California Adventure Park.

Above is a look at the new menu. Literally everything is new and everything sounds amazing! I had a difficult time making a choice! The main items are street tacos and bowls and you can choose from four different proteins! Plus, they have salads and a new marinated chicken! They will also have a seasonal margarita flavor and two different Aguas Frescas!

I decided on a Cocina Bowl with al pastor! In the bowl you get pineapple achiote-marinated pork, cilantro-lime rice, epazote black beans, queso fresco, roasted corn, cucumber-tomato slaw and cilantro. All of the flavors blend together seemlessly and it is a rather large portion! Fresh and flavorful, this will be an item I order again!

I also ordered one of the aguas frescas they offer. This is the mango one. The other offering is the seasonal offering, which right now is a watermelon one. The mango one was sweet and refreshing!

To finish my meal, I ordered an ensalada de frutas! A seasonal fruit selection of mango, pineapple and watermelon with chamoy and chili-lime salt! A perfect way to end the meal!

I cannot wait to try more of this exciting new menu!

The Best Meal in Disney California Adventure during Lunar New Year's (Jan. 20 - Feb. 5, 2017) Is...

The Cach Chien Ca Gion Ngon, which is the whole crispy tilapia with chili-lime vinaigrette. You can find this meal, meant for a family or two very hungry people at the Paradise Garden Grill. For $24.99 you get this massive tilapia, rice, steamed vegetables and two bowls of clear broth soup with onions and mushrooms.

Here is the full family-style feast! This is a massive meal!

You get a nice portion of steamed rice and steamed vegetables.

The clear broth soup with onions and mushrooms is served hot and is very tasty. You get two bowls of this!

But the star is the main course which is the whole crispy tilapia which is light and delicious. The chili-lime vinaigrette is a perfect compliment to the fish.

It is really hard to believe that this amazing sit down quality meal is coming from a quick service restaurant. The price is an exceptional bargain for any theme park and I hope it finds a way to stay on some menu somewhere so I do not have to wait until next year to have it again.

To try this exceptional meal you will have to hurry as the food offerings for Lunar New Year's only last until February 5th. Now excuse me but I have to get back to the park to have this meal at least one more time!
