Snacking In The Parks: The Cove Bar Re-Opens Today (3/16/2018) until May 28th
Guess who's back? The Cove Bar's Back! Tell a friend! The Cove Bar in Disney California Adventure re-opened today and will remain opened until May 28th! After that time it will close once again until it re-opens as part of the Lamplight Lounge! But there a few things you should know!
1. All of your favorite drinks are back including the secret menu drinks! I am enjoying my first Zombie of the year!
2. You can still get the lobster nachos and yes, you can get them with tri-tip still or get them both for surf and turf!
3. The two highlighted items on the menu are new! The deviled eggs & toast and the tuna poke are not only new but will be on the new Lamplight Lounge Menu as well!
I went with the Tuna Poke and you are in for a treat! The "rice dome" is meant to be broken and you can see me doing so in the video below!
Such a fun interactive treat! Now, the big question, how did it taste? Amazing, just amazing! A lot of big pieces of sashimi grade tuna and all the flavors really work well together. There is a good amount of kick and i love that you use the broken "rice dome" as chips!
Here is my broken "rice dome" with the tuna poke!
That first bite will get to come back for more!
So, what are you waiting for? The Cove Bar is back until May 28th and get the Tuna Poke!

Snacking In The Parks: Food Hack - Surf and Turf Nachos from Cove Bar in DCA
One of the most popular items at the Cove Bar in Disney California Adventure is the lobster nachos, a massive order of nachos topped with delicious lobster.
But here is a couple of hacks for you looking for something different. For those of you with seafood allergies you can get these nachos with tender tri-tip. But for those of you that love surf and turf you can get the tri-tip nachos with lobster on the side. This perfect marriage of salty and savory is fantastic and you will only order this from now on.
What are you waiting for? Head to Disney California Adventure now and head directly to the Cove Bar!

Black and White Photos from Disney California Adventure at Night!
I spent the other night in Disney California Adventure taking a few black and white photos to see what they would look like. I was pleased with the results and will eventually go into Disneyland to do the same thing.
This looks like I am out in the sand.
Love the reflection of Ariel's Grotto here in Paradise Bay.
Jumpin' Jellyfish looks kind of creepy here.
The Golden Zephyr looks classic here.
Love the vibe here as folks are getting ready for World of Color.
The mountain range in Cars Land seems to take on a personality all it's own here in black and white.
The rock work looks fantastic in black and white.
It really feels like you are out in the desert.
Red looks happy in black and white.
The vintage look really comes through in black and white.
I love the Flo's V8 Cafe sign!
Flo's really shines here. It feels like we have stepped back in time.
The 1950's are alive and well!
Sadly there are no vacancies at the Cozy Cone Motel.
This just feels right.
Time to fuel up with DinoCo!
The Hotel looks creepier in black and white.
We end the photo tour with The Hyperion Theatre. There will be more black and white photos to come!
