Snacking In The Parks: Late Night Menu at the Galactic Grill in Tomorrowland

Disneyland started a special late night menu at the Galactic Grill in Disneyland that starts at 9pm until the park closes! Now we did not try everything on the menu but here is what we did try:

First up is the green apple lemonade with a glow cube! Now many of you know that I am not a fan of anything sour but I do love green apple! The sour is very subtle and the drink is very refreshing! I would get this again!

Next up was the Lunar Space-adilla, a quesadilla with pepper jack cheese, Ortega chiles, chicken breast and served with a chipotle-ranch sauce. This was really delicious! My friend and I both ate the entire thing and the dipping sauce is a must. There is just the right amount of kick in it for me and I love spicy while my friend Dee does not like spicy but she loved it as well!

We also got the sweet chili sauce Star Clusters, a waffle bowl filled with crispy chicken bites over a blue cheese cole slaw and pickle chips. You can also choose from buffalo sauce if you don't like the sweet chili sauce. The chicken bites are large and flavorful while I wish the blue cheese cole slaw had more blue cheese. I love pickle chips and the waffle bowl was great but too bad it couldn't have been an actual waffle.

Last but not least is the Meteor Potato Bites, tater tots topped with chopped ground beef, caramelized onions, house sauce and sharp cheddar cheese sauce. The best way to describe this is animal style fries from In N Out! Seriously that good!

So a great menu if you are at Disneyland late! Now off to find more food in the parks!

Grizzly Peak Airfield Hidden Details: The Rambler and its Ties to Disney History

I'm sure many of you have taken a look at the beautiful Rambler in the Grizzly Peak Airfield next to Humphrey's. But how many of you are aware of the Rambler's ties into Disney history?

Before we get into the Disney ties, let's take a look around the Rambler! You can see that this vehicle is packed for an adventure!

It perfectly fits the time period and reminds a lot of us of those great family vacations!

Now the Rambler is recognized as one of the first successful modern American compact car manufactured by American Motors Corporation (AMC).  AMC was one of the first sponsors for Walt Disney's television series. AMC was also the sponsor of Circarama in Tomorrowland in Disneyland.

Disney also created several commercials for AMC featuring some of their most beloved characters! Watch the video above!

Hope you enjoyed this look at one of the hidden details of the Grizzly Peak Airfield in Disney California Adventure!

Where in Disneyland Can You Buy these Boba Fett Mug, Han Solo in Carbonite Popcorn Bucket and Star Wars Vehicle Glow Cubes?

Take a look at the Boba Fett mug and Han Solo popcorn bucket available at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland. I picked these up at Disneyland. The Han Solo in Carbonite popcorn bucket is available at the popcorn stand near the old Peoplemover/Rocket Rod platform while the Boba Fett mug is available at the Tomorrowland Lemonade Stand near the now closed Innoventions building.

Also available with the Boba Fett mug are these X-Wing and Millennium Falcon glow cubes to brighten up your drinks!

Disneyland's Tomorrowland Movie Sneak Peek and Exhibit

Let's take a look at the latest Walt Disney Studios Sneak Peek in Tomorrowland! This time it for one of my most eagerly anticipated films, Tomorrowland! How fitting to host the sneak peek of the movie in the land that it is named after!

The theater is lined with great production work of the 1964 New York World's Fair that was recreated for the movie.

Even the trashcans in the area have the Tomorrowland movie logo.

Love looking at all the design work.

You can tell everything was lovingly recreated for this movie.

I actually have one of these 1964 New York World's Fair Guides!

It's A Small World!

Love the conceptual art along side the production stills!

The Hall of Invention was created just for the movie,

Dinosaurs!

The Dinoland billboard is referencing Ford's Magic Skyway and also Sinclair's Dinoland both featured at the 1964 New York World's Fair.

Now it is time to step into the theater and watch scenes from the movie Tomorrowland! You get a great look of the recreated 1964 New York World's Fair and this is where we learn about the backstory to Frank Walker (payed by George Clooney). Then we see a montage of footage from the rest of the movie. This is a thrilling look at the movie and May 22nd cannot get here soon enough!

After the sneak peek then it is time to head to the Starcade and the movie exhibit!

Here you will find more conceptual art of Tomorrowland itself.

Plus, they have the famous 1952 box that was created to showcase the historical fiction aspect of this story of being "found" in The Walt Disney Archives and inspired the movie.

This case contains one of the pins in the movie. The pin allows one access into Tomorrowland. I want one of these! I hope they sell them in the parks. They sell others already but they are not movie accurate!

Tomorrowland opens in theaters on May 22nd, coincidentally or not coincidentally the start of the 60th Anniversary of Disneyland!
