TRAILER AND KEY ART FOR PIXAR’S “DUG DAYS” PREMIERING SEPTEMBER 1

Disney+ has released a new trailer and key art for Pixar Animation Studios’ “Dug Days,” a new series of five shorts that follows the humorous misadventures of Dug, the lovable dog from Disney and Pixar’s Oscar®-winning feature film “Up” whose high-tech collar translates his thoughts into speech.

Bob Peterson, the voice of Dug then and now, wrote and directed the new shorts; Kim Collins produces. It was familiar material for Peterson, who was a screenwriter and co-director on “Up,” which won an Oscar® for best animated feature. He has long understood why fans are so drawn to the character. “Dug is pure of heart—he’s a good soul. I think people enjoy that part of Dug,” says Peterson. “Plus, people love their dogs. We’ve gone to great lengths to include truth in dog behavior, so they see their own dogs in Dug.”

Coming up with new adventures for Dug was not a problem for Peterson, who kept top of mind the idea that this is Dug’s first time out of Paradise Falls. “Everything is new, and he’s excited about all of it,” he says. “But the smallest things can distract Dug, never mind an actual squirrel.”

All five shorts debut on Disney+ on Sept. 1.

FIVE NEW EPISODES OF THE DISNEY+ ORIGINAL SERIES ‘BEHIND THE ATTRACTION’ COMING AUGUST 25

BURBANK, Calif. (Aug. 20, 2021) -- Disney+ announced today that five new episodes for the original series “Behind the Attraction,” executive produced by Dwayne Johnson and Dany Garcia from Seven Bucks Productions, and Brian Volk-Weiss from The Nacelle Company, will start streaming on Wednesday, August 25.  These additional episodes will center on the following attractions: “The Castles,” “Disneyland Hotel,” “it’s a small world,” “Trains, Trams, and Monorails,” and “Hall of Presidents.”

  • “The Castles” - Castles are at the heart of Disney Parks around the world. The original at Disneyland® Resort in California quickly became a symbol of The Walt Disney Company on par with Mickey Mouse. Hear the unique story behind each one and learn how Imagineers designed and built them.
  • “Disneyland Hotel” - Disneyland® Resort with no hotel — what?! It almost happened. Check in to see how Walt got it built.
  • “it's a small world” - It all began at the 1964-1965 New York World's Fair! If a chance encounter between an Academy Award®-winning actress and Walt Disney hadn't taken place, this beloved attraction might never have been created.
  • “Trains, Trams, and Monorails” - All aboard! Everything moves at Disney Parks, especially the guests — by land, water, and air! Walt loved locomotion of all kinds — trains, trams, monorails, and boats. They're all fun, but Walt also believed the monorail could help cities end traffic.
  • “Hall of Presidents” - This unprecedented presidential attraction in Liberty Square at the Magic Kingdom brings our commanders in chief to life. Walt created the world’s first human Audio-Animatronics® figure based on his childhood hero, Abraham Lincoln.

Today, Disney+ debuted key art and announced the cast for  “LEGO® Star Wars Terrifying Tales,” which premieres October 1 as a part of Disney+’s Hallowstream celebration. The all-new animated special from Lucasfilm and the LEGO Group continues the rich legacy of collaboration between Lucasfilm and the LEGO® brand and is a seasonal celebration of the villainous dark side of the Star Wars galaxy— just in time for Halloween.

“LEGO Star Wars Terrifying Tales” features a talented voice cast that includes Jake Green  as Poe Dameron; Raphael Alejandro as Dean; Dana Snyder as Graballa the Hutt; Tony Hale as Vaneé; Christian Slater as Ren; Trevor Devall as Emperor Palpatine; Mary Elizabeth McGlynn as NI-L8; and Matt Sloan as Darth Vader. David Shayne is writer and executive producer, and the director is Ken Cunningham. James Waugh, Josh Rimes, Jacqui Lopez, Jill Wilfert, Keith Malone and Jason Cosler are executive producers. “LEGO Star Wars Terrifying Tales” is produced in collaboration with Atomic Cartoons.

After the events of “The Rise of Skywalker,” Poe and BB-8 must make an emergency landing on the volcanic planet Mustafar where they meet the greedy and conniving Graballa the Hutt who has purchased Darth Vader’s castle and is renovating it into the galaxy’s first all-inclusive Sith-inspired luxury hotel. While waiting for his X-Wing to be repaired, Poe, BB-8, Graballa, and Dean (a plucky and courageous young boy who works as Graballa’s mechanic) venture deep into the mysterious castle with Vader’s loyal servant, Vaneé.  Along the way, Vaneé shares three creepy stories linked to ancient artifacts and iconic villains from across all eras of Star Wars. As Vaneé spins his tales and lures our heroes deeper into the shadowy underbelly of the castle, a sinister plan emerges. With the help of Dean, Poe and BB-8 will have to face their fears, stop an ancient evil from rising, and escape to make it back to their friends.
