TAYLOR SWIFT’S “folklore: the long pond studio sessions” TO PREMIERE EXCLUSIVELY ON DISNEY+ ON NOVEMBER 25

 


BURBANK, Calif. (November 24, 2020) – Taylor Swift, Aaron Dessner (The National), Jack Antonoff (Bleachers) and Justin Vernon (Bon Iver) created an album that crossed genres -- a musical journey that allows us to cry and laugh, and during these trying times, makes us feel like we’re not quite so alone. They recorded “folklore” thousands of miles apart from each other and had never been in the same room together…

folklore: the long pond studio sessions was filmed in upstate New York in September 2020 and will 
premiere exclusively on Disney+ on Wednesday, November 25, at 12:01AM PT. Taylor, accompanied by co-producers Aaron Dessner and Jack Antonoff along with a guest appearance by Justin Vernon (Bon Iver), performs each song in order of her critically adored, five star album, “folklore” and for the very first time, reveals the stories and secrets behind all 17 songs.

  

“folklore: the long pond studio sessions” was directed by Taylor Swift and filmed on 6 x Lumix S1H mirrorless cameras with Leica lenses embedded in the studio, along with a one Alexa LF with an Angenieux 24-290 on a Furio robotic camera with 30+ feet of curved track.

Marvel Studios’ “WandaVision” to Debut on Disney+ January 15


Marvel Studios’ new series “WandaVision,” which premieres January 15, 2021, exclusively on Disney+, just unveiled a new moving poster featuring signature MCU characters Wanda and Vision in intriguing new surroundings. New images also available.

 

“WandaVision” is a blend of classic television and the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany)—two super-powered beings living idealized suburban lives—begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems. The new series is directed by Matt Shakman; Jac Schaeffer is head writer.

DISNEY+ RELEASES “INSIDE PIXAR” TRAILER

 


BURBANK, Calif. (November 11, 2020) Disney+ shared the trailer for its new original docuseries “Inside Pixar,” premiering on November 13. The series consists of four collections with five short stories in each collection, centered around a central theme. The first collection releasing on Friday is “Inspired,” exploring what sparks inspiration and the journey from idea to execution. 

Produced by Pixar Animation Studios, “Inside Pixar” is directed by Erica Milsom and Tony Kaplan, the series offers insights into the personal and cinematic stories that provide an inside look into the people, artistry, and culture of Pixar Animation Studios.

DISNEY+ BRINGS A LITTLE MAGIC TO THE HOLIDAYS WITH "GODMOTHERED" ON DECEMBER 4

 


BURBANK, Calif. (November 11, 2020) — Disney+ announced today that “Godmothered,” an all-new enchanted Christmas comedy starring Isla Fisher (“Confessions of a Shopaholic,” “Wedding Crashers”) and Jillian Bell (“Brittany Runs a Marathon,” “Rough Night”) will debut exclusively on the streaming service Friday, December 4, 2020. 

 

Set at Christmas time, “Godmothered” is a comedy about Eleanor, a young, inexperienced fairy godmother-in-training (Jillian Bell) who upon hearing that her chosen profession is facing extinction, decides to show the world that people still need fairy godmothers. Finding a mislaid letter from a 10-year-old girl in distress, Eleanor tracks her down and discovers that the girl, Mackenzie, is now a 40-year-old single mom (Isla Fisher) working at a news station in Boston. Having lost her husband several years earlier, Mackenzie has all but given up on the idea of “Happily Ever After,” but Eleanor is bound and determined to give Mackenzie a happiness makeover, whether she likes it or not. 

 

“Godmothered” is directed by Sharon Maguire (“Bridget Jones’s Diary,” “Bridget Jones’s Baby”) and produced by Justin Springer (“Dumbo,” “TRON: Legacy”).  Diane L. Sabatini (“Lady and the Tramp”), Tom Pollock (“Ghostbusters: Afterlife”), Ivan Reitman (“Ghostbusters”) and Amie Karp (“Ghostbusters: Afterlife”) served as executive producers.

 

“Godmothered” also stars Santiago Cabrera, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, Jane Curtin, June Squibb, Jillian Shea Spaeder, Willa Skye, Artemis Pebdani, Utkarsh Ambudkar and Stephnie Weir.

 

The “Godmothered” original soundtrack, from Walt Disney Records, featuring the score by Oscar®-winning composer Rachel Portman (“Emma,” “A Dog’s Purpose”), plus the end credit songs “Rise Up (Joy to the World)” and “Hero” performed by Jillian Shea Spaeder, will be available on all digital formats on December 4. The score was produced by Portman and was recorded with the Chamber Orchestra of London at AIR Lyndhurst and Abbey Road Studios. 



“Black Beauty” Finds Her Way Home to Disney+ in New Trailer for Original Movie

 


BURBANK, Calif. (November 11, 2020) -- Today Disney+ shared the new trailer and key art for its sweeping new movie, “Black Beauty,” premiering Friday, November 27. Featuring the voice of Academy Award-winning actor Kate Winslet as Black Beauty and stars Mackenzie Foy, Iain Glen, Claire Forlani, and Calam Lynch.

   

This modern day reimagining of Anna Sewell’s timeless classic, follows Black Beauty (Kate Winslet), a wild horse born free in the American West. Rounded up and taken away from her family, Beauty is brought to Birtwick Stables where she meets a spirited teenage girl, Jo Green (Mackenzie Foy). Beauty and Jo forge an unbreakable bond that carries Beauty through the different chapters, challenges, and adventures of her life.

   

“Black Beauty” is directed by Ashley Avis (“Adolescence'') who also wrote the screenplay. JB Pictures’ Jeremy Bolt (“Polar,” “Monster Hunter”) and Robert Kulzer (“Polar”) from Constantin Film are producers and Martin Moszkowicz, Edward Winters and Jon Brown are executive producers. Dylan Tarason is a co-producer, and Moonlighting Films president Genevieve Hofmeyr (“Mad Max: Fury Road”) is the South African producer.

Disney+ “Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse” Trailer Before Series Premieres on Mickey’s Birthday - Nov. 18, 2020

 


In “The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse,” it's nothing but fun and excitement for Mickey and his best pals – Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Pluto - as they embark on their greatest adventures yet, navigating the curveballs of a wild and zany world where the magic of Disney makes the impossible possible. Each seven-minute short is filled with laugh-out-loud comedy, modern settings, timeless stories, new music and the unmistakable classic art style of the “Mickey Mouse” shorts. The series will include stories inspired by various lands at Disney parks and cameos by classic Disney heritage characters.

 

“The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse” is produced by Disney Television Animation with Emmy Award-winning artist and director Paul Rudish serving as executive producer and supervising director. Christopher Willis, the Emmy Award-winning composer of the "Mickey Mouse" shorts, also provides the music for this series.



“ON POINTE”, CAPTURING A SEASON IN THE SCHOOL OF AMERICAN BALLET IN NEW YORK CITY, PREMIERES DECEMBER 18 ON DISNEY+

 


BURBANK, Calif. (November 9, 2020) Disney+ announced today that the complete original six-part docu-series “On Pointe” will premiere exclusively on the service on Friday, December 18, 2020. On Pointe captures a season in New York City’s world renowned School of American Ballet (SAB). Featuring unprecedented access to one of the top youth ballet institutions in the world, the series follows the lives of the students ages 8 to 18 pursuing their dreams to become ballet dancers. While older students from all over the country rigorously train for professional careers, younger students from New York City are put through their paces as they rehearse and perform in New York City Ballet's holiday classic "George Balanchine's The Nutcracker®" onstage at Lincoln Center.

 

The series is produced by Imagine Documentaries and DCTV, with Brian Grazer, Ron Howard, Sara Bernstein and Justin Wilkes executive producing from Imagine Entertainment; Matthew O’Neill serves as executive producer from DCTV. Directed and produced by Larissa Bills, “On Pointe” premieres Friday, December 18, with all episodes streaming only on Disney+.

NEW DISNEY+ “LEGO STAR WARS HOLIDAY SPECIAL” TRAILER

 


Directly following the events of “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker,” Rey leaves her friends to prepare for Life Day as she sets off on a new adventure with BB-8 to gain a deeper knowledge of the Force. At a mysterious Jedi Temple, she is hurled into a cross-timeline adventure through beloved moments in Star Wars cinematic history, coming into contact with Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Yoda, Obi-Wan and other iconic heroes and villains from all nine Skywalker saga films. But will she make it back in time for the Life Day feast and learn the true meaning of holiday spirit?  

   

“LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special” brings back franchise stars Kelly Marie Tran (Rose Tico), Billy Dee Williams (Lando Calrissian) and Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), as well as “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” vets Matt Lanter (Anakin Skywalker), Tom Kane (Yoda, Qui-Gon Jinn), James Arnold Taylor (Obi-Wan Kenobi), and Dee Bradley Baker (clone troopers).

    

The special is a production of Atomic Cartoons, the LEGO Group, and Lucasfilm. It is directed by Ken Cunningham and written by David Shayne, who is also co-executive producer. James Waugh, Josh Rimes, Jason Cosler, Jacqui Lopez, Jill Wilfert and Keith Malone are executive producers.
