THE DUCKS FLY AGAIN IN “THE MIGHTY DUCKS: GAME CHANGERS” PREMIERING FRIDAY, MARCH 26 ON DISNEY+

BURBANK, Calif. (January 28, 2021) -- Today Disney+ gave fans a first look at its original series “The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers” premiering Friday, March 26. Nearly 30 years after first taking flight, “The Mighty Ducks” returns in a brand new chapter starring Lauren Graham and Emilio Estevez in the iconic role he originated as legendary Coach Gordon Bombay.

In the 10-episode season set in present day Minnesota, the Mighty Ducks have evolved from scrappy underdogs to an ultra-competitive, powerhouse youth hockey team. After 12-year-old Evan Morrow (Brady Noon) is unceremoniously cut from the Ducks, he and his mom, Alex (Lauren Graham), set out to build their own team of misfits to challenge the cutthroat, win-at-all-costs culture of youth sports today. With the help of Gordon Bombay, they rediscover the joys of playing just for love of the game.

The series features a talented new team of up-and-coming young actors including Brady Noon , Maxwell Simkins, Swayam Bhatia, Luke Islam, Kiefer O’Reilly, Taegen Burns, Bella Higginbotham, and DJ Watts.

“The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers” is produced by ABC Signature, a part of Disney Television Studios. Steve Brill, the original creator, writer and executive producer of all three films, which spawned an NHL franchise, is back as co-creator and executive producer of the new series. Josh Goldsmith and Cathy Yuspa (“The King of Queens,” “13 Going On 30”) are co-creators and will serve as executive producers and showrunners. Michael Spiller serves as executive producer / director on the series, with James Griffiths serving as director/EP on the Pilot.  Emilio Estevez is an executive producer and Lauren Graham is co-executive producer. George Heller and Brad Petrigala of Brillstein Entertainment Partners and Jon Avnet and Jordan Kerner also serve as non-writing executive producers.

KEKE PALMER TO SERVE AS HOST AND EXECUTIVE PRODUCER FOR THE DISNEY+ FOOD COMPETITION SERIES, “FOODTASTIC”

BURBANK, Calif. (January 27, 2020) – Global superstar Keke Palmer (Disney+'s "The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder") has been announced as host (and executive producer) of “Foodtastic,” an unscripted build competition series for Disney+ where teams of contestants are challenged to create whimsical, larger-than-life, Disney-inspired works of art made out of all types of food including everything from cheese and butter to fruits and vegetables. NYC's City Cakes founder Chef Benny Rivera and FLOUR SHOP founder Amirah Kassem will serve as judges for "Foodtastic." The 11-episode series started production this week and is slated to premiere on Disney+ later this year.

In each self-contained episode, three teams of food artists transform iconic characters into extravagant masterpieces that tell a story from Disney's legendary IP. These food sculptures will be judged purely on their design, technical skills and narrative, and not by taste. Unused food from each competition will be donated to local food banks.

Keke Palmer is an actress, singer/songwriter and television personality. Most recently, she hosted the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards and was nominated for her work as a host on ABC's "GMA3: Strahan, Sarah and Keke." Palmer starred in the feature film "Hustlers," opposite Jennifer Lopez, and recently wrapped production on the upcoming movie "Alice." Currently, she is lending her voice to the new character "Maya" in the upcoming Disney+ revival "The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder."

"Foodtastic" is produced by Endemol Shine North America. In addition to Palmer, Josh Silberman, Sarah Happel Jackson and Endemol Shine North America’s Sharon Levy, DJ Nurre and Michael Heyerman are executive producers.

WANDAVISION Series to Include Original Theme Songs by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez

A new TV spot airs tonight featuring Marvel Studios’ upcoming new Disney+ series “WandaVision,” a blend of classic television and the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The spot reveals an original theme song written by Oscar®-winning songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez (“Frozen”), who penned unique songs for several episodes, spanning from the 1950s to the early 2000s. “‘WandaVision’ is such a cool, strange, one-of-a-kind project,” says Lopez. “When the director, Matt Shakman—an old friend from my college days—pitched it to us, we didn’t have to think about it. We loved the bright feeling of American sitcoms mixed with the deep sense of unease the story had, and it was a really inviting challenge to help set that tone.”

Adds Anderson-Lopez, “I grew up in the ’80s watching shows from every decade on the networks all day long. Episodes from ‘I Love Lucy,’ ‘Brady Bunch’ and ‘Family Ties’ shaped who I am and how I move through the world. So this project was a dream come true.”

“WandaVision,” the first Marvel Studios series created exclusively for Disney+, stars Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff, Paul Bettany as Vision, Kathryn Hahn as Agnes, and Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, who was introduced to audiences in “Captain Marvel.” Kat Dennings will reprise her role as Darcy from “Thor” and “Thor: The Dark World,” and Randall Park will reprise his role as Jimmy Woo from “Ant-Man and The Wasp.”

Marvel Studios’ “WandaVision” is a blend of classic television and the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff and Vision—two super-powered beings living idealized suburban lives—begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems. The series is directed by Matt Shakman with Jac Schaeffer as head writer. Composer is Christophe Beck, and theme (for certain episodes) is by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez. Featuring nine episodes, “WandaVision” kicks off on Disney+ on January 15, 2021.
