Vehicle Review: 2018 Hyundai Elantra Eco - Disneyland and Food Adventures!

It's time for another vehicle review and this time it is the 2018 Hyundai Elantra ECO. The Eco is for economy and let's see if the vehicle delivers in terms of fuel economy and in value. The base features include 15-inch alloy wheels, Apple CarPlay and Android auto capabilities, heated front seats, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, HD and satellite radio, hands-free trunk, blind-spot detection, rear cross-traffic alert, and a rearview camera.

Of course I am heading out to Disneyland as we welcome back Pirates of the Caribbean back with some changes to the auction scene!

Time to hop in the driver's seat! The seat is large and comfortable!

The cabin is spacious! All the displays are large and bright with all of the controls easily within reach.

Lots of legroom in the back!

My friend Stephanie and I went to Disneyland to check out the changes to Pirates of The Caribbean and on our way we ran into this guy! He was wondering why the rum was gone!

We then waited to board and set sail! We loved the changes to the auction scene! The famous redhead is now a pirate and there are some other surprises in store!

Disneyland has been doing a great job with these fun photo ops! Here Stephanie won't give me the key to get out of prison! Look at that smile on her face! Fortunately she let me free and we were off on more adventures in the park!

Good thing the Hyundai Elantra Eco has plenty of trunk space for all of our treasures! No trip to Disneyland would be complete without bringing home merchandise!

Another day and another driving adventure! This time it was off to Hollywood and to a media screening of the Incredibles 2! MY friend Sara and I couldn't wait to take in the sequel 14 years in the making! We loved it and it was more than worth the wait! We both say bring us Incredibles 3!

McDonald's and Disney have partnered once again to have Disney toys in their Happy Meals! Incredibles 2 is the first such partnership and I had to get a Happy Meal and an Incredibles 2 toy!

The next couple of days were spent looking for new food adventures! If you have followed me long enough then you know how much I love food! It was time to round up a friend or two and head out and see what great new places we can find!

First up is taking my coffee and tea loving friend Erin to my new favorite place Contra in the Orange Circle. This is now her favorite place for coffee and tea as well. How many places do you that serves it's coffee and tea on tap? Or offer flights that you can mix and match their offerings?

The next food adventure took us literally around the corner to The Wall, a great beer place with great bar food offerings. Take a look at their elote fries with carnitas! So good and filling!

Then we ended up at The Pie Hole which is just right up the street! The Orange Circle is a great place to enjoy some great food and drinks and people watch! The slice of pie is one of my favorites, the earl grey tea pie! A cup of earl grey to go along with it is not overkill!

Ended up a few blocks away at the Ruby's Streamliner Lounge at the railroad station. Another great place for food and drinks and watch the train go by. The whole area is a great throwback to a simpler time gone by.

The 2018 Hyundai Elantra Eco is powered by a 128-horsepower 1.4-liter turbocharger 4-cylinder engine. The turbocharged engine isn't very thrilling but is more than good enough to get you in and around any traffic. The Eco is rated at 32 mpg city/40 highway/35 combined. As tested I got slightly higher numbers.

The Eco goes for $21,435.00 and while there are no factory options and few accessories, the Eco is a great value in terms of fuel economy and standard features.
