Preview ‘TRON: Uprising’ in the Downtown Disney District at the Disneyland Resort June 3-7

 This custom-designed, immersive cinematic environment is a fully transformable mobile movie theater, complete with state-of-the-art projection, sound system and stadium seating for up to 90 guests.

The “TRON: Uprising” CineTransformer will provide Downtown Disney District guests an advance preview of “TRON: Uprising,” an all-new animated series premiering on Disney XD June 7 at 9 p.m./8c. Inside the Grid, a young programmer named Beck will become the one hero that will reprogram the future. Recruited and trained by Tron, Beck becomes the powerful leader who can inspire an uprising against Clu’s corrupt regime. The voice cast includes Elijah Wood, Mandy Moore, Emmanuelle Chirqui, Bruce Boxleitner, Nate Corddry, Paul Reubens, Reginald VelJohnson and Lance Henriksen. TRON: UPRISING Premiere Event - Behind the Scenes Featurette

TRON: UPRISING stars Elijah Wood, Bruce Boxleitner, Mandy Moore, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Nate Corddry, Lance Henriksen, Reginald VelJohnson, Paul Reubens and Tricia Helfer join the creative team to celebrate the launch of Disney XD's new animated series TRON: UPRISING at DisneyToon Studios in Glendale, California (May 12).

Disney Channel will present "TRON: UPRISING - Beck's Beginning," a 30-minute uninterrupted prelude to the series on FRIDAY, MAY 18 (9:30 - 10:00 p.m., ET/PT). The special will encore uninterrupted on Disney XD on MONDAY, MAY 21 (7:00 p.m. ET/PT), followed by the series launch on THURSDAY, JUNE 7 (9:00 p.m.) on Disney XD.

TRON: Uprising - Official Trailer #2

Tron: Uprising is set between the two Disney movies and boasts an eclectic mix of notable actors for its voice cast (Elijah Wood, Mandy Moore, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Lance Henriksen, Paul Reubens and, from the films, Bruce Boxleitner is on board). The show will officially debut Thursday, June 7, on Disney XD, but you won't have to wait that long to see an episode of the show. Disney also plans a special half-hour Tron "prelude" next month, titled Tron: Uprising, Beck's Beginning, that will air on the flagship Disney Channel on May 18 (description below).

New TRON: UPRISING Teaser - TV Series Debuts June 2012

"TRON: Uprising" - a compelling story and visually stunning television series scheduled to premiere in summer 2012 on Disney XD. The story focuses on an era of the "TRON" storyline that transpires after the popular 1982 feature film and before the story in Walt Disney Studios' TRON: Legacy Its impressive list of artists, animators, directors, producers and digital technicians includes executive producer/director Charlie Bean ("Robotboy," "Samurai Jack," and "Powerpuff Girls"); and consulting producers Edward Kitsis, Adam Horowitz (both screenwriters of TRON: Legacy / executive producers of "Lost") and Justin Springer (co-producer of TRON: Legacy).

The noteworthy voice cast of "TRON: Uprising" includes Elijah Wood as Beck, Emmanuelle Chriqui as Paige, Mandy Moore as Mara, Nate Corddry as Zed, Lance Henriksen as Tesler, Paul Reubens as Pavel, Reginald VelJohnson as Able and Bruce Boxleitner reprising his role as Tron.

Produced by Disney Television Animation, the series follows Beck, a young program who becomes the unlikely leader of a revolution inside the computer world of The Grid. His mission is to free his home and friends from the reign of the villainous Clu and his henchman General Tesler. Beck will be trained by Tron - the greatest warrior the Grid has ever known. Tron will not only teach Beck the fighting skills he needs to challenge this brutal military occupation, but will be a guide and mentor to him as he grows beyond his youthful, impulsive nature into a courageous, powerful leader.
