DISNEY+ TO LAUNCH FIRST TWO EPISODES OF MARVEL STUDIOS’ “HAWKEYE” NOV. 24

 


Disney+ unveiled plans today to launch the first two episodes of Marvel Studios’ “Hawkeye” when the highly anticipated six-episode event debuts exclusively on the streamer November 24. Subsequent episodes will launch each week on Wednesday. Check out a new 60-second spot that offers fans a glimpse of Clint Barton and fellow archer Kate Bishop in action.

 

Marvel Studios’ “Hawkeye” is an original new series set in post-blip New York City where former Avenger Clint Barton aka Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) has a seemingly simple mission: get back to his family for Christmas. But when a threat from his past shows up, Hawkeye reluctantly teams up with Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld), a 22-year-old skilled archer and his biggest fan, to unravel a criminal conspiracy. The series also features Vera Farmiga, Fra Fee, Tony Dalton, Zahn McClarnon, Brian d’Arcy James and newcomer Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez. Helmed by Rhys Thomas and directing duo Bert and Bertie, “Hawkeye” debuts exclusively on Disney+ on Nov. 24, 2021.

DISNEY+ DEBUTS OFFICIAL TRAILER AND TEASER POSTER FOR MARVEL STUDIOS’ “HAWKEYE”

 


Disney+ and Marvel Studios invite you on an unexpected holiday getaway, unwrapping the official trailer and teaser poster for “Hawkeye,” a new series set in post-blip New York City. Former Avenger Clint Barton has a seemingly simple mission: get back to his family for Christmas. Possible? Maybe with the help of Kate Bishop, a 22-year-old archer with dreams of becoming a Super Hero. The two are forced to work together when a presence from Barton’s past threatens to derail far more than the festive spirit. 

 

Starring Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton/Hawkeye and Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop, “Hawkeye” also features Vera Farmiga, Fra Fee, Tony Dalton, Zahn McClarnon, Brian d’Arcy James and newcomer Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez. MARVEL STUDIOS UNVEILS PHASE FOUR PLANS AT SAN DIEGO COMIC CON


Today in Hall H at Comic-Con International in San Diego, Marvel Studios’ President Kevin Feige officially announced the lineup of feature films for the next two years and shared exciting new information on the brand-new Marvel Studios’ series created exclusively for Disney+, Disney’s upcoming streaming service launching in the U.S. on November 12.

Following is a recap of Kevin Feige’s presentation, which was moderated by Jessica Chobot, the host of Nerdist News.


THE ETERNALS

Feige kicked off with an overview of the feature film “The Eternals,” an exciting new team of Super Heroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Feige introduced the director, Chloé Zhao, followed by stars from the film, including, Richard Madden as Ikaris, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo,  Lauren Ridloff as Makkari, Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, Salma Hayek as Ajak, Lia McHugh as Sprite, Don Lee as Gilgamesh and Angelina Jolie as Thena.

“The Eternals” will make their Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in theaters on November 6, 2020.


THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER 

Feige brought news on the Disney+ original series “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier,” which pairs up two of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s most popular heroes—Sam Wilson aka The Falcon and Bucky Barnes aka The Winter Soldier—in a series of action-filled adventures as they fight together against evil after the events of “Avengers: Endgame.”

Anthony Mackie (The Falcon) and Sebastian Stan (The Winter Soldier) came on stage to greet the fans, and it was revealed that Daniel Brühl will return as the villain, Baron Zemo.

“The Falcon and The Winter Soldier” is set to debut on Disney+ in the fall of 2020.


SHANG-CHI AND THE LEGEND OF THE TEN RINGS

Feige spoke about the feature film “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” and detailed how the legend has been hinted at in the MCU films since the first “Iron Man.”

In an unanticipated surprise for all, Kevin Feige then announced the confirmed casting of Simu Liu in the title role of Shang-Chi and both the actor and the director, Destin Daniel Cretton, came on stage to greet the audience. Kevin also shared with the audience the casting of Awkwafina in a yet-to-be-disclosed role. Then, Kevin revealed to the Hall H audience that the real Mandarin will be played by celebrated Chinese actor Tony Leung.

“Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” will be in theaters on February 12, 2021.

MONDO ASSEMBLES MARVEL’S THE AVENGERS - Hawkeye Poster!


Unprecedented Series Of 7 Posters To Honor

Austin, TX--- Wednesday, April 18, 2012 --- Mondo, the collectible art boutique arm of Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, proudly announces the release of a series of 7 posters honoring MARVEL’S THE AVENGERS, in theaters May 4.  Mondo will be releasing character posters for each of The Avengers: Black Widow, Hawkeye, Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Thor and a poster featuring the full Avengers team. 

Seven different talented Mondo artists have been tapped to create a poster for each member of the super hero team.  Each artist will have their own take on capes, shields, hammers and masks that will make for an amazing collection when assembled.  The first two posters in this incredible series are Black Widow and Hawkeye. 

We've become very attached to doing Marvel movie posters over the past few years, specifically for Avengers-related characters, so working on the upcoming film is a huge dream come true. The participating artists have really brought some of their best work ever to the table. If you want to see the different styles the Mondo crew is capable of, look no further than this series, we couldn't be happier with it,” said Justin Ishmael, Mondo Creative Director.

The Black Widow poster is by Mondo artist Olly Moss who provided an amazing vision of the Soviet spy and now Avenger.  Mondo collaborated with artist Tom Whalen for the Hawkeye poster complete with signature bow and arrow.
