THE SPOOKY SEASON HAS ARRIVED WITH D23 HALLOWEEN HULLABALOO

 

BURBANK, Calif. – September 10, 2020 – It’s the most “wicked-ful” time of the year, and D23: The Official Disney Fan Club is celebrating the season with D23 Halloween Hullabaloo. From its first-ever D23 Halloween Mousequerade Contest and incredible new content to a weekly sweepstakes and exclusive collectibles, Disney fans will be able to enjoy lots of treats this fall—with maybe a trick or two thrown in—including:

D23 Halloween Mousequerade Contest: Grab your needle and thread for D23’s first-ever virtual costume contest during which creative contestants will be competing for fantastic prizes in front of celebrity judges Ashley Eckstein and Yvette Nicole Brown. And the category is… “All Things Disney.” Costumes should be inspired by the fantastic worlds of Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars, from movies and TV to Disney Parks attractions and other Disney properties. The Grand Prize winner will receive a $500 Disney Gift Card—and the ghoulish delight of victory! Holiday Magic at the Disney Parks – D23 Book Launch Party: D23 Gold and Gold Family Members are invited to celebrate the launch of this new book by Disney Editions, as we look at the “spine-tingling half” of the book that pulls back the curtain on that magical combination of Disney and Halloween around the world!

D23 Halloween Hullabaloo Disney+ Picks: For the first four weeks of October, be on the lookout for a new short-form video series featuring our friends from all around Disney who will be sharing some of their favorite films found on Disney+, including behind-the-scenes tidbits to enhance the frighteningly fun experience!

Vehicle Review: 2017 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring - Disneyland Service Celebration, Halloween Time and a Galactic Meet-Up

This is my first time reviewing the Mazda CX-5 in nearly two years. Immediately, the exterior design changes of the 2017 model caught my eye. Clearly Mazda had decided to upmarket their vehicles. The Mazda KODO: Soul of Motion design philosophy creates a vehicle that has a sense of motion even when it isn't moving. The Soul Red Crystal Metallic paint really helps the 2017 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring feel almost alive! You can see how the light plays off the reflective qualities of the paint! And the large 19-inch alloy wheels further enhance the look!

The SKYACTIV-G 2.5L engine is more than powerful enough for all of your driving needs. You get 187 Horsepower with 31 MPG on the highway and 24 MPG in the city.

Let's take a look at my week of some really cool Disney adventures including my 20th Anniversary Celebration with The Walt Disney Company, the start of Halloween Time at The Disneyland Resort and a really cool Disney Parks Blog Event for Guardians of The Galaxy - Mission Breakout!

The drivers cabin is perfectly laid out. Everything is easily within reach. The dashboard gauges are bright and easy to read. The large 7-inch touchscreen display is perfect for your audio and communication needs. There is infotainment system voice command, SMS text message audio delivery and reply, a rearview camera, navigation system, Bluetooth, HD Radio, and SiriusXM.

The interior is super quiet with hardly any engine noise or road noise. Plus, the 10 speaker Bose audio system is ultra-clear and helps to create a very relaxing environment.

The first event for the week was to celebrate my 20th Anniversary with The Walt Disney Company! The celebration was held at Disney California Adventure! My lovely friend Sara joined me for the celebration!

Haunted Mansion Holiday 2016 Additions - Sally Finally Makes Her Appearance!!! #halloweentime

One of my favorite things to look forward to during Halloween Time at The Disneyland Resort besides all of the new food and merchandise offerings is The Haunted Mansion Holiday layover! One of the best things to happen to Disneyland each and every year and this year is no exception!

Look at the photo above and feast your eyes on the beautiful Sally! Long rumored to be making her appearance in the Mansion for years now, she has finally decided to make her presence known! That look of longing as she stares at her handsome Jack Skellington and yet she is ready to hide so he doesn't see her. A wonderful job by the amazing folks at Walt Disney Imagineering!

And every year also brings us an amazing gingerbread house in the ballroom scene! Take a look at this year's masterpiece!

Snacking In The Parks: "The Drop/The Incident" drink at The Carthay Circle Lounge #FinalCheckOut

It's Halloween Time at The Disneyland Resort! It's also time for the Final Check-Out over at The Hollywood Tower Hotel! To mark the occasion they are offering a special drink called The Drop or The Incident depending on who you ask. This is my favorite new food or beverage item at the resort for Halloween Time! They will offer this drink until Tower has it's actual Final Check-Out on January 2nd, 2017.

The drink is crushed ice with Midori, Irish Cream and Grenadine. The concoction when it arrives looks real ghostly and mystical. But swirl it all together it becomes and almost blood red drink. But how does it taste you may be asking? Well, it tastes like creamy alcoholic ice cream! You will want to order another one immediately! So, what are you waiting for? Head to the Carthay Circle Lounge now!

Snacking In The Parks: Butterscotch Beignets #Halloweentime

The butterscotch beignets are brand new to Disneyland this year for Halloween Time! I was looking forward to trying these but thought they could have added more of the butterscotch sugar. You do not really get the butterscotch flavor thta I would have expected. Maybe the pumpkin beignets will come back next year!
