Review of the Classic Snack Gift Basket by GourmetGiftBaskets.com
Hey Sasaki Time Fans! I am back with another great product review! This time from the fine folks at GourmetGiftBaskets.com! They were very generous to send out one of their classic snack gift baskets to me! The first thing I have to say is that there is nothing standard about this! What a collection of snacks to keep everybody happy!
Your gift basket comes shipped in huge box!
This is what the gift basket looks like out of the box!
Where to begin? Where to begin? The first thing that stood out was the Raspberry Honey Mustard Pretzel Dip by Robert Rothschild Farm. This did not sound like it would be very good at all, so I figured I would start here!
Such a strange looking mixture. I opened up the pretzels they came with.
Dipped a pretzel and expected the worst and....and was completely blown away by the flavor! The sweetness of the raspberry and honey are fantastic and then you get the tanginess of the mustard. Just a perfect flavor combination! My friend and I couldn't stop eating it but had to because this was only the first item that we tried!
Next, we opened up the Buttered Peanut Crunch by Old Dominion Peanut Company. I love peanuts and these were mixed with butter and brown sugar and cut into squares that were crunchy and chewy! We almost ate all of these in one sitting!
The next thing we opened was the Almond Pecan-dy Crunch by Morley Candy Makers. Buttery toffee coated popcorn with pecans and almonds are just perfect! Think of a freshly made cracker jack and you are pretty much there!
We then went for the Peanut Roll by Dillon Candy Co. since it was more peanuts, covering fluffy nougat and a layer of caramel in between the two! So good with the crunchy peanuts and the soft nougat and the chewy caramel! Sort of a snickers without the chocolate!
Next was the Coconut Bar by Oskri Organics. It is made from 100% coconut and rice syrup and is 100% organic! I love coconut and I made short work out of it!
We then decided to open the box of Salted Peanuts in Box by Feridie's. They only use the top 2% of peanuts to make each batch. These were definitely some of the largest peanuts I have ever seen and they had a different taste to them. It was sort of a sunflower seed type taste. Unique and different and these were gone in a day and a half.
The Banana Chips were the only thing in here that was just plain and ordinary to me. Not that they weren't good, they were just too run of the mill for me.
The true highlight of the basket were the Key Lime White Chocolate Chip Cookies by Brent & Sam's. These are made from scratch and just taste like they were just made. The white chocolate perfectly balances the tartness of the lime. The lime is really stands out here. We ate the entire box in one sitting I'm afraid to say!
The last thing we opened were the Petite Cheese Biscuits by Salem Baking Co., as we thought this would be a good way to finish off our gourmet gift basket snacking adventure! These petite biscuits packed a lot of cheese flavor due to the extra-sharp aged cheddar cheese! There is also just the hint of spice from the cayenne and paprika! needless to say these disappeared quickly as well!
An incredible basket from the great people at GourmetGiftBasket.com! This is something I would definitely get for friends and family especially with the holidays coming up!There are so many options that I spent hours going through everything that they have! Check out their website below:

Review of SodaStream
Hey Sasaki Time fans! It's time for another product review and this time it's from the fine folks at SodaStream! They were kind enough to send me a SodaStream Jet, their best seller, for me to review!
For those of you unfamiliar with SodaStream, let's watch their commercial so you have a better understanding of their product.
The Jet arrived in this massive box!
After opening up the box, this was everything that was inside!
I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised by this product. The Jet worked as promised. It was really easy to use. The Sodamix flavors were not exactly like the comparable brand. Some were fairly close and others were not. But you have control on how the soda turns out which is a great benefit to me. I could increase or decrease the amount of carbonation in each soda. I could also control the flavor of each soda. I found myself adding slightly more syrup to each liter as I enjoy a sweeter taste to my soda. You can even mix soda flavors if you want. You even have the option of adding flavor to your seltzer water if you would like.
And now, off to the flavor reviews! Actually before I begin, I would like to say that I only used cold filtered water before making any of the sodas.
The first thing I made was the ginger ale which was great. Just like any other ginger ale. This one went fast!
The second was the diet lemon-lime which was super sour! I am not a fan of diet sodas anyways but I needed to taste test all the flavors! Next time I will mix it with a regular soda like the ginger ale.
The next flavor up was the cranberry raspberry which was surprisingly great! It's not one of my favorite flavor combinations and turned out to be one of my favorites! The flavors, tart and sweet, were perfectly balanced. I actually made an extra liter and drank it later!
I went with another diet flavor next and it was the diet pink grapefruit. That just sounded like an awful flavor idea but to my surprise it was really good. It almost didn't taste like a diet soda.
Up next was the black currant and pear. I wasn't sure what to make out of this one at first. I added more syrup into the mixture because it was on the watery side. The flavor is hard to describe other than sort of cough syrup taste. Not one of my favorites.
Next up was the root beer which was excellent. I added a bit more syrup and it was like any other root beer I have had. It was a bit on the watery side but was really popular with my friends and I.
Not being a fan of energy drink's, the energy drink was pretty bad! But my friends that like energy drinks said it was like a slightly watered down version of Red Bull to them and they drank it down!
The cola free wasn't any better. It actually tasted more like a diet cola to me.
The green tea pomegranate peach was interesting. It tasted like two different drinks were combined together. The green tea would be fine on its own and the same with the pomegranate peach.
The cola was just like an RC Cola, so it was great! It went down quickly and we had to make another bottle!
The last one was the orange which was close to a Sunkist. Really good as well!
Wow! That is a lot to cover and I haven't even gotten into the benefits of the product!
Benefits:
- Super easy to clean! You just need to hand wash the bottle and the machine just needs a simple wipe down!
- The machine requires no electricity so you save money right there! You can set it up anywhere!
- There is no longer the need to buy soda. No more carrying those bottles or cases into your home.
- Not buying anymore soda means no more waste from soda cans or bottles.
- It's earth friendly. Everything is 100% recyclable including the carbonator.
- You will save money! The cost between the carbonator and the SodaMix equals roughly about $1.33 per two liter bottle.

My Review of Hawaiian Kettle Style Potato Chips
Hey Food Time Fans! Today I have an awesome snack product to share with all of you courtesy of Hawaiian Kettle Style Potato Chips! Now I love kettle style chips! I think they are far superior than plain old regular potato chips! Why do I think that? Well, kettle chips are made in smaller batches and use fewer artificial ingredients! This allows for the true flavor of the potato to really stand out! Also, the kettle process really gives the chip a distinctive crisp taste! With that being said, on to the review!
I was given two bags to review! I received both the Sweet Maui Onion and the Luau BBQ!
First, the bags are very eye catching! Second, I have a tendency to look at things that have the word "Hawaiian" in them since both of my parents are from Oahu! Call it a bias!
The first bag I opened was the Luau BBQ! These chips were perfect for me! The BBQ flavor did not overpower the chip which I loved! Also, the chip had probably the biggest kick out of any BBQ chip that I know of! I love spicy so that made it a big winner for me!
The second bag was the Sweet Maui Onion! I looked forward to eating these and I have a tendency to eat ,my favorite or what I think will be my favorite thing last! I have fond memories of my aunts cooking up Maui onions in several of my favorite dishes when we go to Oahu. The Maui onion known for it's sweetness made me a fan of onions even as a young child! These chips brought back these wonderful memories and made me feel like a kid again!
I did my best to try and savor these chips but I couldn't stop eating them!
Clearly the Sweet Maui Onion chips are my favorite but I would get the Luau BBQ chips again as well! Great flavors combined with a great crispy chip make for some of the best potato chips around! I definitely recommend them to you! Enjoy!
