Copycat Recipes: IHOP Banana Bread French Toast!

Ingredients

• 4 slices of banana bread
• 1 banana sliced
• 4 teaspoons butter
• 4 tablespoons caramel sauce
• 2 eggs
• 2 tablespoons milk
• whipped cream
• freshly ground nutmeg (optional)

Instructions

Whisk together 1 egg and 1 tablespoon of milk, pour whisked egg into a shallow dish.

Heat a skillet over medium heat, and add about 1 teaspoon of butter in the pan.

Place 1 slide of banana bread into the egg mixture, coat evenly, flip the bread over, and coat the other side of the bread.

Place bread into skillet and cook for about 1 minute on each side.

Place bread onto a plate, and slice 1/2 banana and place on french toast.

Drizzle french toast with caramel sauce, and then place some whipped cream on top.

Copycat Recipes: IHOP Buttermilk Pancakes

 

Ingredients:

Yield:

pancakes


1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 egg
1 1/4 cups buttermilk
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 cup cooking oil
1 pinch salt

Directions:

1 Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
 

2 Mix all of the ingredients til combined.
 

3 Melt a little bit of butter in the pan.
 

4 Pour the batter by spoonfuls into the hot pan, forming 5-inch circles.
 

5 When the edges appear to harden, flip the pancakes.
 

6 They should be golden brown.
 

7 Cook the pancakes on the other side until they are also golden brown.
 

8 Enjoy.

IHOP Restaurants offer three meals for free by signing up for its Pancake Revolution (an email newsletter.) By joining, you'll receive a coupon for one meal within 24 hours, plus another meal on your birthday and a third in one year's time.Of note, the coupon is valid for a Rooty Tooty Fresh 'N Fruity meal or any menu item of equal or lesser value.

IHOP: All-you-can-eat pancakes

 
IHOP brought back its All-You-Can-Eat Pancakes Promotion. Available any time of day, All-You-Can-Eat Pancake combos start at $4.99 and include two buttermilk pancakes, eggs any style, hash browns, and a choice of bacon, sausage, or ham. Pancakes are then brought out three at a time until the guest has left or had some sort of coronary event.

Of note, on Friday October 28, kids under 12 years old get a "Scary Face Pancake" for free between the hours of 7am to 10pm.
