How to make it
- Print the template on regular paper or cardstock and cut out the pieces. Make all folds along dashed lines.
- Using
glue or double-sided tape, attach the two base pieces by securing the A
tabs to their corresponding sides. Close the top of the base with the B
tabs and the bottom of the base with the C tabs.
- Complete
the inner layer of the robe by securing the D tabs to their
corresponding sides, then close the shape with the E tab. Fold the tabs
at the top of the inner layer outward.
- Secure
the F tab on the outer layer of the robe to its corresponding panel,
then close the top of the piece using the G tabs. Drop the outer layer
of the robe on top of the inner layer. The tabs at the top of the inner
layer should keep the outer layer from slipping down too far. You may
apply glue to these tabs for extra stability.
- Secure the body to the base using glue or double-sided tape. The left foot at the bottom of the robe should face forward.
- Complete
the shape of the head by securing all tabs to their corresponding
sides. Attach the head to the top of the robe where indicated.
- Attach the face to the head where indicated.
- Secure
all tabs on each shoulder to their corresponding sides. You may find
that it's easiest to use glue for the shoulders. Fold each arm in half
and secure so the design is two-sided. Attach the arms to the shoulders
where indicated, then attach each shoulder to the statue's body. To
keep the arm with the torch standing straight up, use tape to secure the
right hand to the right ear.
- To add
the "Happy Fourth of July" sign, make all folds along dashed lines on
the sign attachment and use the tab to secure the shape. Secure the
sign attachment to the base of the statue, then attach the "Happy Fourth
of July" sign to the sign attachment for a 3D effect.
How to make it
- Print out
all pages on regular paper or cardstock. Cut out both sides of the hat.
Glue the tab on the right-side piece to the side without a tab on the
left-side piece.
- Cut out
the top part of the hat. Fold it in half towards you with the design on
the inside. Follow the instructions on the paper to make the rest of the
folds. It should look like an accordion.
- Take the
now-folded top part of the hat and glue one end to the inside of one of
the side pieces. Then glue the other side to the other side piece. Match
the two ends of the side pieces and glue them in place.
- Cut out the stickers and let the kids decorate their new hat by gluing or taping them to it.
How to make it
- Print the flag on regular paper or cardstock and cut out both pieces. Cut along the four solid gray lines adjacent to each tab.
- Use glue or double-sided tape to secure the two sides back-to-back, making sure that they line up at the tip.
- Roll the
tab on side 2 around the end of a small wooden dowel, then glue it into
place. Decorate your flag with ribbons and streamers to make it more
festive!

How to make it
- Print the hat on regular paper or cardstock and cut out the pieces.
- Use glue
or double-sided tape to secure the A tab on the front piece to the
left-hand side of the back piece. Close the top of the hat by securing
the B tab to the left-hand side of the front piece.
- Tuck the C tabs on the top piece into the top of the hat and secure with glue or double-sided tape.
- Tuck the D
tabs on the brim into the bottom of the hat and secure with glue or
double-sided tape. Line the brim up with the top piece so that the two
dashed lines on the brim are on the left and right sides -- this is
where you will attach Mickey's ears.
- Fold each
ear piece in half and secure so the design is two-sided. Line the ears
up with the dotted lines on the brim; secure the red tabs to the brim
and the blue tabs to the side of the hat.
- Fold the
"Happy Birthday America" piece in half and secure it so the design is
two-sided. Use the tabs to attach this piece to the top of the hat.
- Attach
the star pieces to the front and back sides of the brim -- the red tab
should face the edge of the brim and the white tab should face the hat.
